Description
There’s more to compatibility than just checking off whether you’re a “dog owner” or a “dog lover.” Not all dogs get along. So, you can decide if you want to find someone currently with or without a dog, and you can filter by dog size. Then, Dig will present you with 5 of the best potential dates for you every day. You can look through all 5 profiles before deciding who you “dig,” “really dig,” or “pass” on each day.
Once two people “dig” each other, Dig helps you find a date idea. A “dog-friendly locations near you” search feature is built into the messaging area. The app also features daily “tips and tricks of the day” from experts such as vets and trainers as well as “daily deals” from pet businesses.
All dogs featured on Dig are available for adoption or were at the time of posting.
Dog people are always looking for ways to get dogs in their lives. You’ll linger near the dog park’s fence, you’ll repeatedly offer to dog-sit while your friends are away, and you’ll scan every dating app for photos of potential matches with dogs at their sides.
If you’re lucky enough to own a pup, you know that things never work out with someone if they’re not as into your dog as you are.
So, Dig founders Casey and Leigh Isaacson built a dating app that connects people based on what’s most important to them: their dogs.

2 ★ The concept is a good one and I had really high hopes for this...obviously being a dog lover is extremely important, but it's not the sole requirement to making a good match with someone...more basic information about each match and the kind of match they're looking for should be provided...I don't understand why there is a limit to the number of people you can view. Overall it feels like this app is motivated simply by download numbers instead of wanting to help people find love.
2 ★ I adore the concept and the app seems to have the bugs worked out that previous reviewers were experiencing. BUT, the first four matches that messaged me were fake profiles (I did a reverse image search and easily found the real identities.) I reported the profiles, but if this continues, I will have to delete the app. Update: After using this app a couple of months, there were just too many fake profiles to weed through. Uninstalling.
1 ★ A great idea that is very poorly utilized. Set distance to less than 20 miles and I still see people 40 miles away. Also the profile pictures of most members are a waste of time. There are lots of dog pics, but very few pics of real people, and most profiles have nothing written in the Bios. I live in SoCal and I ran out of matching profiles in less than 20 minutes, which speaks to how few people use this app. Don't waste your time.
4 ★ Cute app for dog lovers. But, you only get 5 matches a day and 2 are ads. They need to expand the search miles. 20 miles to everywhere is ridiculous. Doesn't seem like there are too.many matches in my area. However, the app is pretty new and I'm sure they are tweaking it. (One of the ads said there is a launch for it this week.) More people will join. If anything, download it and check on it in a few months.
4 ★ Much better after the update, but it is crashing a lot when browsing profiles. Also, can you please add more distance filters? Going from 20 miles to the entire world is a massive jump. How about adding 50, 100, and 500 miles please? Or a sliding scale from 1 to 10k miles would be even better. Anyways, a good dog-based dating app overall. Hopefully there will be more users soon. Keep advertising! Thank you.
1 ★ Was super stoked until I actually started "digging in".... or rather attempted to. The bio section is stupid short - you can barely get in a few sentences! You can't really view people's profiles much less message them. This app is an AWESOME idea but I think you guys need to spend a lot more time building on it than you have already.
1 ★ I had great hopes for this app but everyone is over 1000 miles away from my area. I'm not sure if I ever matched with anyone. The app doesn't tell you what area a person is located in. I travel alot and these apps could make a great way to meet new people but if they can't provide a location then its pointless.
2 ★ Setup my account last week, haven't been able to log back in since. #200 Missing Permissions when trying to login via Facebook. From when I was logged in, seems there aren't that many users in my area anyways.
2 ★ I was really excited when I heard about this app when I was watching the Beverly Hills Dog Show and immediately downloaded it. Only to be saddened to find that I've tried to set up my profile about 5 times already and every time, the app crashes and I have to restart it and create it all over again. Please fix this so I can try out this app. It's a shame really. 😔
1 ★ Kept telling me I was temporarily deactivated until I uploaded a picture of a dog. I uploaded several pictures of my dog, one picture had 3 dogs in it and the app would not recognize them as dogs. I was never able to use the app, as it apparently had difficulty detecting what a dog looks like. I see this as a bit of a problem, since the premise of the app partially revolves around owning dogs!!
4 ★ I think this is cute and easy to use! Not sure if its just my device though, but sometimes the loading can a while and I'd have to re-open the app. Wish there were more search options too; for someone who lives in Texas, 50miles out isn't really going to cover a lot.

I absolutely cant wait for this app to grow & come to my town! my only issue so far is I didnt get to look at my matches, I went to update my profile, switched to another app, and came back to have Dig tell me I'd already viewed my 5 matches & I'd have to come back tomorrow. :(
2 ★ The idea of this is super cute and I love it. But i ve been on for a couple of days and havent gotten a single match? I'm either really ugly or somethings wrong with the matching system. I would suggest allowing you to message people despite matching, just to get the connect out there.
3 ★ I mean this is good in theory. But the bios aren't visible (or people just dont have them) and I feel like you should be able to give a short, brief bio of your dog. Also, the closest person to me is roughly 1k miles away 😂 so there's that (not necessarily the app's fault that no one near me is using it.... more advertising maybe lol)
1 ★ it pretty much sucks it only lets u view 5 "profiles" in 24 hrs but 2 out of the 5 profiles are ads. the concept is cute but there really shouldn't be a limit on how many profiles u can see in a day. Also the location feature isn't updating it keeps showing me profiles that are thousands of miles away.
