DivyaKshetram Hariharapura is a historic Lord Narasimha Kshetra on the banks of river Tunga in Chikmagalur district, Karnataka. Being a divine land extolled by Puranas and sanctified by the holy presence of Maharishis and Siddha Purushas, Hariharapura is also home to the ancient Adi Shankaracharya Sharada LakshmiNarasimha Peetam - a Dharmapeetam directly established by Jagadguru SriAdiShankaracharya.
At the instance of Divine Blessings from Lord LakshmiNarasimha and Goddess Sharadambika the present Peetadhipathi, Srimajjagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri SwayamPrakasha Sachidananda Saraswathi Maha Swamiji has initiated the reconstruction of this ancient LakshmiNarasimha Temple from 2009. This work is in
rapid progress and to be completed by 2018 for the auspicious occasion Of MahaKumbhabishekam.
The LakshmiNarasimha Swamy worshipped by Agastya Maharishi is the presiding deity of this Kshetra.The Yantra Raja Vajra Stambhaja LakshmiNarasimha Swamy temple which is under reconstruction,also includes the shrines of Goddess Sharadamba, Sri AdiShankaracharya, Sri Agastya Maharishi and Sr iPrahlada.
The deity of Goddess Sharadambika was consecrated along with the installation of Sri Chakra by Jagadguru Sri AdiShankaracharya Himself. We request all devotees to visit this DivyaKshetram and be a recipient of YantraRaja Vajrsthambhaja Lakshmi Narasimha . and Mahaswamijis Blessings.
