Devialet Spark 1.11.1 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to change network connectivity state.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows applications to enter Wi-Fi Multicast mode.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.

1 ★ paid £2500 for a phantom gold cant fault the speaker but the app is shockingly bad. try and stream any music from deezer and it plays for 15 seconds and tidal doesnt play at all only way I can listen to music is if I pay for an album and download it to my phone or tablet. very dissatisfied with ths app. you pay alot of money for the phantom to be let down by the app.
1 ★ Horrible UX. App is slow and is draining down the smartphone battery turning it into a heater. Got in touch with the customer service (paying number). Spoke a to a very polite and friendly rep who promised me to solve the issues. Had a few exchanges with him for info but never solving my problems. No news for the last 6 weeks despite of several reminders. I was hesitating buying another pair of Phantoms or switching to another manufacturer. I guess Devialet facilitated my decision.
1 ★ This app is a disaster. I have 4 gold phantoms and there is zero stability on the setup and the app itself is not well designed. 12k$ for great speakers with software that you would expect from low end manufacturer's. Not good. My question is if anyone at Devialet is actually reading any of this because the issues are not new and yet here we are ... or maybe they couldn't give a @@@@, once they sold you in the demo room and fork out that's it, job done ... too bad.
2 ★ Keep the Faith @J Clar. I have had three Gold Phantoms for about a year and also am hopeful that Devialet updates Spark. If they do, I will purchase a fourth. Devialet seems to be focusing their efforts on building new products (e.g. Phantom Reactor) rather than ensuring that previous products are supported with continually improving app functionality. Current Spark functionality is dismally low. However, I have come to a comfortable state where I no longer have to reset these Phantoms.
1 ★ Its disappointing to strguggle with such a below average app after buying an expensive speaker like the devialet phantom. The speaker keeps getting logged off and doesnt connect to the wifi network if not used for a few days. One has to go through the cumbersome factory reset and set up process all over again that takes almost 10-15 minutes. No point charging customers thousands of dollars and delivering such poor user experience. However the sound quality of the speaker is par excellence.
3 ★ Truly amazing, but has a way to go. Ergos could be more intuitive. I cant get 4 Phantom golds to play without cutting out once in a while, even on Spectrums fastest connect speeds, in a way that's unacceptable for such an expensive system but for some reason I have faith that updates are going to make it better

1 ★ Awesome speakers, let down by a poor app. I stream from Tidal and often fine the app is unresponsive and won't change tracks, or at times play them at all. On the odd occasion I've had to turn the Phantom off at the mains as I'd lost control via the app! Needs refining to match the slick hardware.
1 ★ Typical product made by a French company, amazing physical product but extremely poor user experience. The Phantom keeps disconnecting from my network and I need to set it up from scratch every single time. The new app is not better. Spending 2k on a sound system for such a poor quality is really frustrating.
1 ★ This software runs absolutely terribly on android, no matter what the scenerio I do, different model phones, solo or duo phantoms, different wifi networks.... The program will generally crash several times and you have to just keep retrying to complete the setup. Its pretty clear they ported this from ios and just didn't care...
1 ★ The hardware is brilliant but the Spark app is hugely unreliable. I spend way too much time troubleshooting instead of enjoying music. Massively disappointed, Devialet. If you invested half as much money into developing this app as you do marketing the Phantoms, it would be a killer combination.
4 ★ i have had little trouble with my setup (2x phantom + dialog) with this app. i use it mainly to control the speakers: setup, volume, connecticity settings. For streaming, I use the Tidal app (hifi) exclusively with Chromecast audio connected via the optical interface on the dialog, as the functionality of the Spark app for streaming is insufficient. Works like a charm.
1 ★ the speakers are beautiful and works great. but the app is so... old and outdated looking. while simple to use it makes me wonder if the lack of updates on the app is a decision based on "since it works, don't break it" philosophy.
1 ★ Very poor user experience. Worst incomprehensible flaw is that I can't even copy/paste passwords from password manager apps...
1 ★ Hi I bought your speakers and to be fair I can't understand why the app is so bad when I end up going back to my sonso as it a great app your letting down your speakers by such a bad a app you need to get smart home control and any who buy it get the same feeling from the shop you show case them from and the box it come with they are getting something special am not buy any more speakers from you right now because I feel let down by the app
