Description
This is a fully functional ad supported version of Oversize Guide.
Oversize Guide was designed to simplify the task of determining pilot car requirements for overdimensional loads.
To properly bid on an overdimensional load, you must first determine what you will need for pilot cars, police escorts, surveys, etc. It used to be that in order to do this you would have to either research it online, contact a pilot car company and hope they were honest, or look it up state by state in a pilot car directory book.
Now this task has been made extremely simple. All you have to do is enter the loads over-all dimensions (truck, trailer, and load), select the states you will travel through, and view the results.
Results are laid out in a simple to read format, with any positive results (i.e. escort needed) displayed in red to grab attention. The results screen also provides tabs to see current state’s permit office information (mailing address, phone/fax numbers, etc.) as well as a details page that displays the actual description from the state’s laws that describes escort requirements so you can verify information on main results screen are accurate, should you desire to.

5 ★ I haven't had the opportunity to use this app on a job yet, but have put together a few numbers as I was preparing for a job. I am a pilot escort for oversized loads specializing in long distance. Texas to Canadian border is a frequent trip of mine. All the readings/numbers seem accurate "to the T". I'm giving it a 5 star rating. My next long trip is in 1 week. ..will continue to give it 5 stars unless something changes...
1 ★ Well I DID NOT GET MY MONEY BACK FROM THE DEVELOPER! BUT,MY PHONE COMPANY DID CREDIT MY ACCOUNT So, it's not just for the purchased product! But for a product that is not accurate! You go through the steps, put in information, well, you have to go to your manuals and website anyway! Oh, by the way, the trial version is just as inaccurate as the paid version! The escorts that are out there doing their job, I know how important it is to have accurate information! Good luck to you all! And have a great day!
5 ★ Please disregard the comment from Robin, as he did not try this free trial prior to purchasing the full version. This trial is designed to allow users to evaluate the app prior to purchasing. Based on his emails it is bluntly obvious he did not try this first.
1 ★ Put in several diffrent load sizes and compared to a oversize load book and the state provisions and 50% of the info was totally incorrect. I am a heavy haul driver and I wouldn't recommend this app to anybody. Thanks for trying but this app isn't ready to be sold.
