Description
With thousands of offers already available within this service, this app acts as an ideal way to experience, find, remember those offers that are of particular interest to how and where you shop. We have designed the app so that all offers and features are simply a swipe or a touch away.
You can easily register to become a member of this great service, access promoted companies that have extra special offers, obtain your own Defence Privilege Card. As there are so many offers and discounts available to qualifying members we have many quick and simple ways to help you find exactly what you are looking for.
For members who have applied for a Defence Privilege Card, we provide a virtual version within the app itself that many companies will accept if you forget your physical card.
What's inside?
- Search - A single location that allows you to quickly find what you are looking for by entering a phrase, choosing a company or selecting a category.
- Near me - Find all the local deals around you, or where you will be going to, all shown on an interactive map and a list view - you choice which you prefer.
- Register to become a member of the Defence Discount Service right inside the app, simply download the app and choose the option on the very first screen.
- Members can sign up for the Defence Privilege Card right inside app as we like to make things as easy as possible. Don't worry if you like to post things - we are still very happy to receive them.

5 ★ Brilliant Service with the Defence Discount Card, I have managed to save literally thousands using this cars and today saved £140 on a new tumble dryer from Whirlpool. Enough said I think.
1 ★ Keeps saying no Internet (on WiFi and on mobile data). Obviously a serious bug following the last update. Basically, unusable now!! Update 19/08/23 Not heard anything after opening ticket 4/08/23 and being asked for information. This followed the usual uninstall / reinstall, clear cache/data, check password etc. Using the website is unhelpful as links keep trying open the app, which gets stuck on a login page saying "no internet connection". Obviously a problem that has not been addressed.
3 ★ The offers are good and it's a great app for finding discounts across a large range of brands. It is annoying when you go through to put details in with some offers, often when getting cinema tickets just by changing the orientation of the phone means all the details you just put in are lost. It never holds details either so when it does loose them it means you have to start again.
3 ★ Pushes adverts as if they are exclusive deals, but they aren't.
3 ★ Discounts are genuine, but mostly on already expensive items. email links look specific, but aren't, they all link to same page. Website is banner rich and awkward to find anything specific. Most things can be found at the same price elsewhere. Best use of card is on high priced items you wanted anyway or in occasional shops that give 10% off.
5 ★ Excellent discounts with more and more companies joining the scheme. I use the card alot,........ keep up the good work.😊
5 ★ Many amazing savings to be had. A very easy application to navigate
1 ★ Broken. Won't load code for Bills. When trying to load code from Vault the app crashes and signs out instead. Totally embarrassing when trying to pay the bill.
3 ★ Doesn't just provide a TOTP code – forces me to use Google Authenticator. The discounts are all for useless services I've never heard of – nothing for any tech nor storefront like Amazon.
5 ★ Only just got this as it was recommended by a friend. Already made savings on my SKY subscription that easily paid for the cost of the card with 5 years more savings to go! Potentially significant savings on BA flights as well. This was a Boris incentive that I have to say actually makes sense for once! Would highly recommend any serving or ex-service to get one. Handy app so your card is on your phone so you don't have to remember the actual card. One of those things in life that just works!
3 ★ Has its flaws, but everything is in one place. Doesn't give you the option to open every link in your browser, which can be annoying. I don't really want to add my payment details in through the app, mainly for security. The option to "open in browser" would mean I'd give the app a higher rating.
5 ★ Brilliant App if you use the DDS! Easy to navigate & find savings you never would have considered. I make a habit of quickly searching brands or companies before I purchase online to see if there's any savings to be made, more often then not there's something available. For the price you pay into the subscription it's beyond good value for money. I use the virtual card now for discounts in store when necessary but its easier to just request your discount code via the app for online purchases
1 ★ Poor interface. Loads webpages within the app without allowing pages to be opened in the default browser. This has accessibility and security benefits which are not available whilst using a built in browser. 1* until this is rectified. Edit: since paying for a card, I've discovered retailers have no way of accepting the discount in their new COVID safe procedures. WASTE OF MONEY!
4 ★ I really like this app a lot. However it can be a little slow at times. I suspect that some of the slowness is down to poor 4g/3g mobile data services. there could be more sub menus broken down into different categories such as food electronics etc. This would take more admin and expense which would take away from this important service for us veterans and serving members
4 ★ Great app would have been 5 stars but some links to holiday companies dont show the discounts and you have to contact them direct to obtain it. The alphabetical search search should have an alphabetical list at one side so you can short cut to the first letter of the retailer (m for morrisons etc) without having to scroll through the entire list upto the desired retailer.
