Description
Easy purchase of tickets: Buy single-trip or daily tickets for adults and children as well as group tickets and the Hessenticket conveniently, quickly and cashless with your Android Smartphone!
Current connection information: The RMV-App offers you a fast door-to-door connection information including prognosis data and current traffic information.
Your favorites: Save your most important connections to have quick and easy access to tickets and timetable information.
Additional functions:
- Direct purchase of tickets from the timetable information
- Travelers with a valid BahnCard 25 or 50 can use these to buy single-trip tickets at reduced price for supported connections (choose the relevant setting at: Connections & Ticket > Settings > Traveler).
- Search connections starting at your current position or choose from a map of the surrounding area.
- Show all vehicles and places of RMV mobility partners in your area on a map.
- RMV and local network maps are ready for download.
App permissions
RMV Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund 2.13.1 APK requires following permissions:

3 ★ Updated: since the latest ui update, it became impossible to see earlier and later routes. What happened? Update 2 - links are there, but are deeply at the bottom
1 ★ I wouldn't recommend it. I bought two tickets ahead(costing me 32 Euros) because when I checked for the times for the train next day,the app offered there were tickets available for that time. I bought them on the app. Next day I couldn't use it at all. The rmv bus driver told me the tickets were only possible to use in the same day that i purchased and I went to service center at bahnhof and had to buy again. I lost over 32 euros with no refund.
2 ★ I can only comment on how well it works in Frankfurt. The train, tram, and U-Bahn schedules are mostly accurate in real-time. The bus arrival times are less reliable. The app is helpful if you want to find less obvious connecting routes, and especially in finding alternatives when, once again, large parts of a line are out of service for maintenance. The UI itself definitely has room for improvement. Purchasing tickets through the app is extremely buggy. Save your time by using a vending machine
1 ★ Simply not working. It starts charging before you can get a ticket. But, you can't buy a ticket itself. Summarizing-perhaps app is supposed to do many things, but not what you actually need. Just buy a ticket from a driver or vending machine.
1 ★ It has really low quality, it's not connecting with a good and clear map and crashing all the time
2 ★ Badly Designed App as other mention already missing basic functions. While Service in Train Great. The upper management can't think logically! Robert Koch Institute recommends do Corona Fresh Air Ventilation! RMV locks all Windows even in bathrooms. Horrible Air do poor AC. I wish the Government would protect the travelers better :-(
2 ★ Not good at all. It keeps showing that I am using a wrong password or username, despite being able to log in in desktop.
1 ★ Update: Now that I can at least use Paypal (in nearly 2020), I bought a one-day ticket. I've been getting a notification that I have bought the ticket for like 18 hours straight every five minutes. Super annoying. Can't pay with anything that's even remotely standard. Track arrivals are different than displayed at the actual train station. Additionally, after buying a ticket, the app keeps pushing a notification, making my phone vibrate every minute.
1 ★ The app actually works allowing you to see connections and purchase tickets. The graphical user interface is however repulsive and outdated. Please, consider a GUI overhaul.
1 ★ I had an error ( error 500) while purchasing a ticket with PayPal, still I didn't get a ticket on my tickets list on the app but the payment was successful, after a while I noticed that the payment went 4 times and still no ticket to see on my app!! If you try to call the service number provided by the app contact service you will notice it's not a free call and you have to actually pay to get help !!!
2 ★ Unreliable, almost useless. Buying ticket option appears at random, sometimes it works and you actually manage to buy a day ticket (other tickets not available) at other times the page's unresponsive. Find your route : previous searches are available forever but if you need to check new routes that's tough luck. There seems to be no way to modify saved searches and there is no new search option. Seriously sucks.
1 ★ extremely complicated, instead of making it quick and easy to pay, you force people to be Schwarzfahrer. Miserabel. App remembers you, (my account was blocked, for whatever reason) and there is no way to just somehow get it quickly updated, or just change data, card number etc, it just says sorry blocked. Well then, sorry ;-) Deinstalled rmv app. I use dbahn app for rmv rides. They got it right)
4 ★ Overall very nice app. Here some improvements: - Add the option to buy a connecting single ticket - The map, it is awful. By tapping when zooming, panning... a point in the map is selected, very annoying. Selecting a point in the map would be much more convenient with a long press - The pan and zooming experience is also very poor - The history in the search box is not working properly (chronologically)
1 ★ Where to start : this (very) ugly app belongs to another century ! The opposite of user friendly. Only usable for extremely basic requests (from one metro station to another) only because you cannot use Google maps in this country to go from A to B by public transport (another very stupid and very German unpractical choice). So you're stuck with this super ugly app ! Thank you !
1 ★ Worked at first, then buying tickets wasn't possible any more. Tapping the corresponding button had no effect. Restarting the phone didn't help. Couldn't buy the ticket using the RMV machine either, because me and some other frustrated people waiting in the line were possibly just too dumb to use it. Got a 60 EUR fine for traveling without a ticket. Uninstalled the app, never again RMV.
