App permissions
ControlMySpa 3.3.2 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows applications to change network connectivity state.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an application to read from external storage.

1 ★ it's st*p*d that to turn on jets you must go to a second screen! isn't the point of a hot tub the jets? hot tub controls are NOT that complicated, so the basic ones CAN be in a single screen! please stop complicating SIMPLE things and keep them SIMPLE!
2 ★ Better behaving in 2024 but still somewhat unreliable. I had it installed by the technician when he was here for a different repair otherwise I'd never get it installed. Fortunately my Google fiber mesh has an outlet close by the spa for dedicated connection to the Bluetooth controller this app uses. I like it better than the janky controls on hot tub itself but that's not saying MUCH. When app works, it does quickly adjust temp and lights and jets which is helpful for swimply guests
1 ★ This app is very buggy, which is frustrating given the excessive cost of the module. The main issues are authentication. After signup they emailed me my password in plaintext. Spa data vanishes after a few mins of inactivity and you have to close, reopen and log in again. It requests location access every time you log in (why??) and if you decline once it breaks the app permanently until you manually grant it from app settings. If it could just keep you logged in, it would be 1000% more usable
2 ★ I have written to this app company for help twice in two weeks and no reply!!! This isn't helpful and this app and accessorie cost a lot of money not to get help to fix it!
1 ★ not a very good interface for your spa. need to hire someone that kn ows how to have a useful interface. I end up manually changing the temperature. it is constantly off-line.
