This application addresses a need in modern society, with its growing number of social media apps connecting people, for an equally modern means of providing consent before intimate relations. No more hassle. No more worry. With Consentsy app, you can “get it on” with peace of mind.

1. Login through pre-existing Facebook, Google or email account.
2. Read and agree the Terms & Conditions.
3. Record your partner’s consent using camera and microphone.
4. Read a generic consent statement.

★ How Does the Consent App Work? ★

After downloading Consentsy from (“the App Store” or “Google Play”), open the app and create an account. You can create an account using email, or login through pre-existing Facebook or Google+ accounts. Prior to creation of the account, read and agree to Consentsy’s Terms & Conditions.

Once the account has been created and you are logged in, Consent app will need access to your Camera and Microphone. This is important, as Consentsy’s consent platform needs the camera and microphone to record your partner’s consent. You need to have access to cellular data or WiFi to send the video consent to our secure storage.

Once you have logged in, you will be able to access your camera. To record, you will want to touch the wink icon so that the the camera will start recording. Tap the icon again to stop recording. While recording, the consenter will be asked to read a generic consent statement providing consent to sexual intercourse.

After the recording is complete, a pop-up stating “You Consented” will appear on the screen. The consenter will then need to tap the “Send” button for the video to be processed and converted to text. Their verbal statement will be verified to provide some assurance that they are consciously consenting. However, even if the consenter says something different from the generic consent statement, it will still be sent to our secure storage, and you will receive a confirmation email with a transaction ID confirming your consent. This will provide peace of mind that the consent recording was successful while still protecting the privacy of the consenter.

Any recorded content uploaded from your Consentsy account is securely stored and cannot be accessed after recording. This protects users’ privacy, while still providing a security blanket, as the footage can be accessed from our database upon request with proper legal documentation.
