App permissions
ParentCom App 5.1.58 APK requires following permissions:
Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to read the user's calendar data.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to write the user's calendar data.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an application to record audio.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows an application to read from external storage.

1 ★ Frequently none responsive. Popups about new messages in inbox freeze the app.

1 ★ Errors, errors everywhere, slow, not intuitive, unclear, and not user friendly. I'd rather use email.
1 ★ Passwords of max 15 characters? Why? Which development or security principals or Good Practice ever told this company to put a maximum on passwords? Would not be surprised if they store it with MD5 in plain text too... Come-on, you can do better.
4 ★ Love if we could download photos so that we can save those wonderful moments and look back time to time.
2 ★ The app is slow to respond and does not always perform expected tasks.
1 ★ Slow, unresponsive, not always intuative, and crashes from time to time. But the school has a contract with this company, so we're stuck with it.
