1 ★ It worked fine for the first few times. Later on, I had this incident where I tried placing an order; it didn't go through; I tried again; this time it worked. I noticed that my card was charged twice. The customer service executive declined the refund request even after providing screenshots of my card statement. It shows that the app has issues, but they aren't willing to correct themselves. Uninstalled.
1 ★ Terrible app of false hope. I'm writing this as I'm waiting in line to order food because this app doesn't work. First I couldn't log in no matter how many times I reset my password. When I used a new email, I got it to work once. Now every time I open it it just says "Unfortunately, Boost has stopped working" a second after it opens. I'm reporting this to my university because I don't know why they partnered with this company.
1 ★ I have had some orders where the restaurant tells me that they didn't receive my order at all. Very inconvenient to have to wait after that when supposedly it's "ready for pickup". Even more annoying is the fact that this app just opens automatically sometimes when I'm doing COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS! Sometimes, I'll simply unlock my phone (when I haven't even used boost for days) and I will see the Boost splash screen. Why on Earth is it loading up the app for no reason?! Feels very intrusive
2 ★ Seems to work ok for Starbucks on my campus (SJSU), but not much else. Placed an order that I'm pretty sure never went through so now I have to wait in line to order, which defeats the whole point of the App, and based on other reviews, I dont think I can expect to get a refund. So forget this app, wish I could go back to tapingo
3 ★ It's OK, very basic. It would be great if they made sure to update menus and if there was an option to add notes about the order preparation. Also a dozen of notification emails with every order is so frustrating... transaction summary is ok, but everything else is fine as app notification.
5 ★ Exactly do what it suppose to. I order the food directly, don't need to line up, I got the text message the order is received and is handled, and the expected ready to pickup time. I follow the time accordingly and I got the food I ordered. If I am not using this app, I need to go to the subway at the ground floor of my office, line up for 5+ min to order, verbally make the order, physically pay it and wait to pickup. Now, I just order, wait and pickup. I am very happy with it.
1 ★ My university switched from Tapingo to Boost & it was a mistake. Boost charges a convenience fee for using the app (which isn't written anywhere), while Tapingo never did. Besides that, Boost doesn't have the entire menu as they seem to claim -- they're missing about 1/3 of the menu from each of the restaurant choices. Also, as I found out yesterday (the 1st time I ever ordered through Boost), even if you select your food to be picked up at a future time, they make it right away & leave it there
4 ★ It worked quite well up until recently. Sure there were other issues- the app loading randomly, the orders received/being made/ready not quite always coinciding with whats actually happening, incomplete menus etc. But overall it worked out for me. The issue i started having was that id order and it would tell me there were no time slots available, and it did that for any location on my campus and for any time. As a result i camt actually order thru it anymore
1 ★ App is barely functional. I have used the app before but there has been some kind of hiccup every time. The app shows all restaurants closed when majority of the restaurants are open around 10:45, I write this review at 11:00. This happened multiple times and you can order at all
2 ★ Had to install to avoid long lines. It was nice at first, but with the constant logging in and app randomly starting. The place you order from will make it, even if you set it as pick up later. It helps for popular places but with limited menu items... It is a deal breaker. If the restaurants were on the main apps of theirs, I would say, order from the official apps and avoid this.
1 ★ "Mobile ordering unavailable" for every place on campus... So what's the purpose of the app? Nothing? Thanks, I guess?
1 ★ No options to customize drinks, can't get a non-coffee frappe from Starbucks, can't customize burger toppings from Triple O's, doesnt give me all the sauce options for Subway. We'll see how an actual order goes, but I'm disappointed. And I'm hearing they charge a convenience fee?! Uninstalled.
3 ★ This service needs to do a better job coordinating with it's restaurants. I order from an Einstein's Bros Bagels on campus and they never make my drink because the print out doesn't tell them if I want it hot or iced, a basic need of a food ordering app. The user menus are huge/convoluted with far too many tabs.
1 ★ Never made order. When you order on Boost the restaurant wont make the order and will take more than a week to get your money back. Do not use this app. Either go in to the restaurant by or find another service.
1 ★ This app worked okay at George Brown and is a completely useless at Sheridan. It doesn't load, and if it does it never sends the order through. Its frustrating because I could easily avoid the 15 minute line up at my school with this app. Very disappointed.
