This App aims to gather, describe and disseminate the Intangible Heritage of Extremadura, its traditions, expressions, rituals, parties, gastronomy, legends, etc. According to UNESCO, intangible cultural heritage or "living heritage" refers to the practices, expressions, knowledge or techniques transmitted by communities from generation to generation.

The wealth in Extremadura and its diversity in this type of intangible assets is the result of various causes such as cultural plurality, repopulation or interaction with other peoples through the Vía de la Plata. The lack of industrialization in Extremadura has facilitated the preservation of traditional techniques and crafts for a longer time, imposing the artisanal to the industrial.

These manifestations, some ancestral, have been compiled through various documentary sources carrying out the processes of formal and content analysis, and grouped into categories adapting the structure marked by UNESCO.

Among the outstanding functions, it is worth mentioning the access to the content of these goods (description, images, videos, etc.), which can be done using different filters such as standardized descriptors, keywords, specific sites, etc. With the geolocation function the user can know in real time the location and route to follow for the location of the goods, or show those that are close to their position. The App also has predefined categorized routes that enrich the user experience by combining knowledge of goods with specific areas.
