Download the latest LG TV Remote 2011 application, version 2.3(2013.01.07), compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Tools app is developed by LG Electronics, Inc. and is easy to download and install.

Description
This application is compatible only with LG Smart TVs which are released in 2011. Application("LG TV Remote") for smart TV Models released in 2012(not listed in supported models) has been uploaded.
When a smart phone and LG TV are connected via router, after a simple pairing process, LG TV may be controlled conveniently with the smart phone similar to a regular or a Magic Motion remote controller.
[Network Settings on TV]
- To get started, connect your LG TV through wired/wireless router to TV LAN port.
- Go to Home Dash Board [SETUP] -> [NETWORK] -> Configure settings in [Network Setting].

** Please ensure that the Smart Phone is connected to the same network as that of your LG TV.

VOL/CH: Change volume or channel.
Touchpad: Control pointer on TV by touching the touchpad screen on a smart phone.
Button: Use direction keys to navigate TV menus or to control media playback.

Mute for incoming call: Mutes TV for incoming call.

3 ★ The last update has fixed the issue of the app always forgetting my TV! So thank you for that! I'm glad to see that LG is still working on this app. There is still a crash bug on my S3 when the app is started before the TV is turned on... That really shouldn't happen. Hence still just 3 stars
2 ★ The single biggest reason to get an app to control the tv from a tablet is to take advantage of the tablet keyboard to write into text input box, which is maddeningly slow using the regular remote. Sadly, this app doesn't do that for some reason, reducing the app usefulness to just about nil. Other than that it work fine on my TV, but doesn't add any kind of functionality whatsoever.
5 ★ Guys, I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone and a 47LW5700 LG TV from 2011. I installed this app and it did not worked at the beginning, showing the dotted screen on the TV and no password. I have two networks at home with several computers and devices connected to them. I checked the connections of both the TV and the phone and realized that they were connected to different networks. I adjusted that and it worked perfectly, both on the same network. Hope this to be helpful for you all
5 ★ Update fixed issues on Galaxy S3, the app is working now. 1-6-13 Graphics and touch areas do not match on this phone's hi-res display. Force closes many times because of it. Worked great in the HTC Droid Incredible 2.
5 ★ Thank you LG. I have an LG 55" with a partially failed main board which made the conventional IR remote control useless. The repair man was asking 650AUD to replace the board (warranty expired). Now with this WiFi enabled app, I can re-enjoy my TV again.
1 ★ For crying out loud why on earth would you add this feature when a button would've done just fine?? OR at LEAST give the option to disable. If I pick up my phone wrong, even with the app just open in the background, it will go to the premium menu. Extremely annoying when in Netflix etc, bc have to go back in. Also, my phone has a Shake to Open Camera function, which this app screws up and I end up at the premium screen (which is a useless screen BTW) when I just want to take a picture. Horrible design.
2 ★ This is another example of a lazy half a$$ developer app. Can any of you developers make an app WITHOUT issues. Its been out for over a year and still same issue. Can only connect once then issues occur \not connecting anymore. Have to reset everything to get it to work. Dumb. why release something that dont work
1 ★ If you put in a name just nothing happens. Nothing works right, it is a winner the app does not crash all the time. LG strikes again "life's good"...what a joke
3 ★ This app has been useful, but I just noticed that it eats up battery life at a rate of 15-18 times that to Chrome on a per minute basis. Unfortunately, it continues to run in the background even when my wi-fi network is unavailable. App needs to recognize this and turn off multicast.
1 ★ Why not having a single app for all LG tv's? I have 2011 model tv and can't start app! So if I buy 2014 model tv can I expect app to stop working in 2017? Sorry LG but I will be buying a brand that support own models for longer than 3 years!
1 ★ Lg remote TV app is not working on my lg nexus 4 having latest android is 4.2.2.. I'm using lg smart TV lv 5500... When I press connect.. It tries to pair up on TV.. But it shows up blank pairing key..LG developers plat take notice and fix this
1 ★ Very disappointed bc I have 3 LG tvs and not one will connect to this and evenm when I install the LG remote 2011.. still nothing happened. .. I have a Samsung Galaxy S III... SO IM NOT SURE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS..
4 ★ This app is fantastic, does what it says on the tin. However, if I use this app to control the tv, and go to a different app on the phone, re-selecting the app on the phone home screen crashes the app. The only way to use it, is by going into open background apps and reselecting it. Small issue, lose a star for that.
2 ★ You obviously don't care about customer satisfaction or you guys would take care of the bugs. This app won't open a third of the time, won't pair a third, and partially works another third. Stop being lazy devs and update your stuff before we all decide to buy Sony products next time.
