1 ★ Until a few days ago, I'd give this app 5 stars. Now, constant ads appear, covering the image of what I'm listening to. Closing the ad only works for a few seconds before another ad appears. This is extremely distracting during my work day. This also sucks my phone battery dry very quickly.
1 ★ So far it seems fine. I can't find some settings like how to disable automatic downloads for all podcasts. It's frustrating having to manually opt-out for each one I subscribe to. I'm only here because Google is going to scuttle its podcast app soon. UPDATE: Well, the app went ahead and automatically downloaded the three latest episodes of each podcast I just subscribed to. Gosh darn it. I thought I disabled it. Now how to do I set up playlists? UPDATE 2 OMG I hate this app IT AUTO PLAYS THE EPS
4 ★ I really love IHR app. I think the app works well, so many selections of music, genres, podcasts etc. I love the different throwback stations too. The only reason for the 4 star vs 5 star rating is because more often than not, my app will not pick up where I leave off. For music, no big deal. But in the middle of a podcast (especially if I'm driving) I don't necessarily know where I leave off if I get out of the car. So, often times I am not sure what "time" I am at........ please fix!
4 ★ Nov 2023 - app still going strong on my phone! Would love the ability to reorganize followed podcasts, though. They're currently organized by when I first start following them. I would like to at least, at minimum, be able to reorganize them alphabetically. Doesn't cut out too much. Sound quality is good. Love that I can listen to radio anywhere! Update: I use this app for podcasts as well. I've found most of what I want so far. Great selection!
4 ★ I've listened to this app for years now, cycling through my followed podcasts as I work every weekend. It's been really great. However, this past month or so my followed podcasts have been disappearing from my "followed podcasts" page. When I search for them to follow them again, the individual podcasts indicate that I'm already following them. I honestly don't know what's changed in the app, but this one aspect is incredibly frustrating as I have to take extra time to find these podcasts again.
4 ★ Thanks for the help with the last issue. No longer a problem. However there is one impressive improvement you could make. Ask users what they would put on a list in different situations like when they are depressed or angry energetic or happy go lucky and try to form playlists based on that rather than one artist or song. I can find this on YouTube but YouTube acts like a spoiled child saying pay attention to me/are you physically looking at the screen watching the ads? Interrupting unlikeiheart
1 ★ App crashes a lot .. and when it does it basically wipes it's own cache. So when reopening app it doesn't know what you were listening to so it's like opening the app up all over again.. sad really that they can't handle mobile switches especially when phone has a choice of towers and ping pongs back and forth between them or switches from 5g to 4g etc.. only use this because no other apps got the stations I like. To respond: I won't do your job for you..you figure it out. Less than one star
1 ★ This is constantly shutting down randomly, and it is very frustrating it has been going on for the couple of months now. Sometimes it will simply pause and freeze the app other times it will close the app completely. I am about to cancel my subscription with them and take my money elsewhere.
3 ★ I use this app all the time. Ever since my phone updated, it now only stays on when using Wi-Fi. I never had this issue before. I made sure I had the latest update and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I've restarted phone and cleared the cache. Wi-Fi isn't always available where I work and when I drive, the two places I use it the most.
1 ★ I wanted to like this but the free app isn't worth it, to me. When making a playlist, iHeart adds songs you "might like" without the option to remove them. I made a playlist to listen to THOSE songs and those songs only. I don't want recommendations. Shuffle is also toggled on unless you upgrade. Listening to some of the stations is okay (like "Elvis Radio") but the idiotic playlist thing is enough to uninstall.
1 ★ This app has all the stuff you'll want to listen too and worked good for a while but unfortunately now everytime I open the app and choose my favorite podcast the app freezes. I figured put the problem was that it wants to load an add that just doesn't pop up unless I keep resetting my app and sometimes my phone. At this point I'll just Uninstall and try again if they decide to update it
3 ★ Is there a limit to the number of podcasts I can follow? I'm trying to find a good app to replace Google Podcasts, and I'm searching and following all the podcasts I subscribe to on there. But I got to a podcast that wouldn't let me press the follow button. I tried restarting the app and it still didn't work. I unfollowed another podcast and went back to the one I couldn't follow. The button worked. If there is a limit, I'll find another app.
5 ★ The app works perfectly. I've used it for many years now, with different platforms (smartphones, rokus, smart TVs). These recent negative reviews are suspicious. If they are honest ones, it sounds like the user and their equipment, not ihearts fault.
1 ★ I cannot stand the fact that this app isn't able to go directly to the station I choose without playing several ads first...Even if I close out the app and reopen it, the f'n ad restarts too. The radio station already has commercial breaks built in which this app syncs up with every time. Calm down on the income generator and let me listen to the damn station. Absolutely abysmal...Right in the middle of a conversation on live radio it goes to a commercial that is in Spanish...WORTHLESS!!!
1 ★ Does not work. Error forces app to close. "An internet connection cannot currently be established. Application will exit. " Well that's odd, all other installed apps on my phone are working just fine. Maybe the app should use the internet Verizon provides, and all other apps are able to utilize. After multiple uninstalls and reinstalls. The error remains. A phone restart that also included current updates still didn't shake the error. Where am I to go to get my fake news now!!??
