2 ★ Have been using it for about 6 years now. Each year the free parent version has less and less features available. We used to be able to see a child's history for the entire semester. Now you only see a few days. Sometimes it is actually frustrating to use. I love seeing the points from teachers and being able to communicate quickly with the teachers.
5 ★ Love it! Great for communication and documenting behavior... I use it for behavior..you can add a note for giving/taking point...portfolios...kids can read and record themselves, draw, etc....messaging is not limited so you don't sound ignorant...you can look at behaviors for week/month, etc and figure out when student is set off, acts up, etc, you can add to the calendar for reminders..it is so much better than remind...my remind acts up so I just stuck with dojo!
5 ★ It was working fine up until this morning's update (9/21). I lost all updates and posts from my child's school and all the messages between his teacher and me have disappeared. This is the main way the school has set up communications between teachers and parents, so this sucks. **UPDATE 9/22** the issue was fixed before noon and I was pleasantly surprised with how fast everything got fixed. I even got an email today explaining what had happened and why the outage occured. Glad to see it.
2 ★ This works ok. I wish my kids' school would choose a different option. The app is constantly trying to get me to pay for the premium version, constantly sends notifications I've already received and acted on, and doesn't clear notifications even after I click on them. It's also often hard to find an announcement or message again and there's no way to search for it. And when I send messages I can never tell if it's sending to the whole group or just the teachers.
1 ★ Useless. I get an email saying the teacher sent a message. I log into the app click on every single button that can be clicked, including "messages," and it is no were to be found. My wife has an apple, and she can see the messages with no problem. They are under messages like they are supposed to be. The android version is heavily flawed and worse than useless because the teacher thinks the message got out when it did not.
5 ★ I love being able to have communication from my child's school regularly. I can see what she is learning and try to implement those skills at home to help further her education. The app itself is easy to use and fun! She loved decorating her little character. All in all easy to use with additional features that you can pay for monthly for added benefits!
5 ★ It is an amazing platform on so many different realms. Encouraging to do those everyday, little, things that can tend to be quite the opposite, Lol!! To converging school & home & fun rewards to boot! The interaction that our kids & we are able to communicate & especially for the little ones, I love the 'connect w/ classmates' coordination!! Haven't found anything negative!! 🤗
1 ★ This app has intrusive upgrade offers that keep popping up. Also holds old pictures of your children for ransom. Want to see them? Better pony up for a plus upgrade. Also user flow through the app makes it difficult to use. Navigating backwards through the app often just exits the app or navigates to a screen other then the previous screen. If I had a choice, I wouldn't be using this app.
1 ★ Bug: i open the app. It forces me to select "I'm a parent" and log in again. But as soon as i do it gives me a "Session ended" message and kicks me back to the I'm a parent " step. App is 100% nonfunctioning. I have logged out and back in again and same issue. I hated being slammed with all the "upgrade to premium " stuff, and now it doesn't even work at all.
5 ★ UPDATE: 9/15/23. I emailed class dojo, and they were able to resolve the issue. Changing my rating to 5 stars. Thank you ! /////This is a great to communicate with teachers. The issue is lately its been adding different teachers other than the one that my child has. Making it seem as if he has 2 teachers instead of 1 .There's no way to open the app or check messages without selecting the "new teacher" as an option.
1 ★ I shouldn't have to pay "unlock the full experience" to use an app to view my child's class when I pay taxes. Also, I'm tired of the constant having to download an app to my phone, when the web browser is just as good, but this ClassDojo forces you to do this. Remove this feature, make it free (not free since we pay taxes), and the constant pop-ups, and it's probably a better experience.
1 ★ It just doesn't let messages work on Android for the past 4 or so updates. Even contacted their support via email without a solution. If you use android don't download it. If you got apple works fine. Just updated and still have the issue. Edit 9/18/23: they don't actually read the reviews they just say please contact at email but i already stated I did. Just fix the android messaging issue. I even updated after this review and it's still not working.
5 ★ I really like it. It allows me to have direct contact with all of my daughter's teachers and administrators). I get daily pictures and videos throughout the day. The app also has a lot of cool features for your child if you upgrade, and the upgrade is truly worth it. My mom is also linked and is able to see my daughter's progression, class messages, reminders, notifications, etc.
4 ★ I enjoy the functions and being connected to the class. I don't enjoy how much it tries to force you into upgrading to premium. Some screens don't even let you out of it suggesting to upgrade and I have to get out of the app and go back in to get the message to go away. That part is quite frustrating.
5 ★ I love this app! It is a great way to keep in direct contact with my child's teachers and also get reminders and notifications keeping me up to date on school events, days off, book fairs, etc. If your school offers it and you don't have it you are truly missing out. It's as easy as texting the teacher or other staff members! I highly highly recommend!
