Description
Civic believes everyone should have the right to control the use of their personal information. The Civic app provides control of personal information you share with Civic Partners. Move beyond traditional 2-factor authentication without vulnerable texted codes and passwords. Depending on what information you verify, Civic may use third party verification services to validate your passport, drivers license, or national ID card. Civic may also collect Biometric information, including a selfie capture, for authentication purposes.

How Civic works:
The Civic Secure Identity app stores your sensitive information securely on your phone using bank level encryption and biometric locks. By keeping your data in your control, it’s much harder for hackers and other malicious groups to gain access to this information.
Civic Partners request your information through custom QR codes to be scanned with the Civic Secure Identity app. Once you’ve unlocked the app with your biometrics, you can scan these codes, review exactly which information is being requested, and choose whether to approve or deny the request.
This unique method allows members to create secure accounts, login to existing accounts, and share sensitive information all without passwords or data being stored outside of your mobile device.

1 ★ Very bad experience!!!!😡 Definately not recommended!!!😡 Worked on verifying identity for weeks. The process bar just keeps spinning. I think if i left it be, the thing will b keep spinning till end of the world. Tried unistalling/reinstalling the app hundred times. Even though support representative reset my account dozens of time still the issue is unresolved. I think the app is broken. And they have no idea whats going on. I have wasted a lot of time and energy that i will never get back.

1 ★ So far my experience has been terrible. The app takes along time to scan your face. Then after couple scans i think 3 it blocks you for 5 minutes because the lighting is not correct or you have not held the phone correctly at your eye level. I have been trying to upload documents using this app for 2 days and guess what after all the frustration and it finally loading it gives me an error. IMAGE ERROR then asks me to verify my information but every time i try the app closes.
3 ★ I am from india .. its asking passport for verification.. i have only my country id card i.e adhar card... Can it be accepted in place of passport.
1 ★ I really want to use this app. It has so much potential to change how we give our identities online. However, I cannot even get my email verified. I input my email and the app says that they have sent me a code but I never received the email. Until fixed, I will leave one star. I hope that the experience gets better after the sign up process is over.
1 ★ There's absolutely ntng wrong with the image says its blurry declines again and again, selfie is an insult tried every position, it's creepy. No support or explanation of any kind, buggy app to a point...f.. I was talked into this so I can claim a 10$ promo, yes, KYC, for that!@#* None materialised anyway I just sent away personal data a couple times. Sketchy, weird, nothing made sense and I think it's dysfunctional if not shady and I rarely give negative.

2 ★ I have been battling for over a months now trying to verify my phone but i would receive code. This is the same number i used to verify my civic before i unstalled the app now i cant gain access again. Im tired.
3 ★ I love Civic, the concept and what the company stands for. The app, however, does not work reliably at the moment. I get "no such table: capture:, while compiling: SELECT id, key, class, version, json_value, capture_date FROM capture"
