App permissions

Eastlink Stream 2.0.17 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.

Allows an application to broadcast sticky intents.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

This constant was deprecated in API level 8. The restartPackage(String] API is no longer supported.

Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an application to read the low-level system log files.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

3 ★ Ok at best. I find it complicated to use, but when I do find what I'm looking for it works well. I wish Eastlink would look at the Telus' app for inspiration. Eastlink does cost half as much though, so maybe thats the trade off.

2 ★ Don't understand why when you pay for channels half of them don't show up on the streaming app. Also being able to cast to a tv is very important now a days so not being able to do this is also very disappointing.

1 ★ Pretty much the same complaints most others have. Channels that you pay for aren't available. App crashes and streaming fails often. If you like feeling irritated, get this app.

2 ★ Very poorly designed app, it's locked into one screen orientation which can be annoying if you only have a bottom firing speaker, video quality isn't very good, confusing and often glitchy interface. The option to pause or rewind would also be really good. The desktop web version is even worse, it forces you to install a Cisco video application and it doesn't run natively in the browser, the interface is just as bad and the video feed will often pixelate and have flashes of TV static. I'm coming to Eastlink after 5 years with Shaw and their free-range tv app which was really good and worked flawlessly, Eastlink developers could really do to learn from it. I'm giving it two stars because eventually you will get it to work, and the service is nice enough to have versus nothing at all, but it's pretty bad overall.

1 ★ This app doesn't work. It keeps freezing and crashing. Since this app is offered as a part of paid cable services, it should be fixed asap. Why isn't the CRTC stepping in?

1 ★ Cant tell you anything about this app. It crashes before I can ever use it. Uninstalling it now 🙄

1 ★ Installed this app on my iphone and amazon tablet. When I log in on either device it tells me my password is invalid however the password works on my laptop.

2 ★ I can't log in. I try to recover password and says email is invalid, I register and it says email already in use. :/

2 ★ Freezes, shuts down, frequent lag time events, not all of my subscribed shows available.
