- The CipherTV App features are supported on the CipherTV STB.
- Not all Android devices are supported
App permissions
IPTV 2.1.84 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Allows an application to request installing packages.

1 ★ Limited access to viewing from your home. The other guys also offer roku apps while cypher is actually offering less and less. The hardware is the weakest link and you need it for the free option. Company really needs to start looking forward instead of backwards. I'd be perfectly happy having to buy the box if it would act as an iptv provider for my other stuff like plex, but as it is, since they removed the ability to watch while traveling I find myself almost never using the service. What is the point in offering a mobile app that can't be used while mobile.

1 ★ Can no longer watch TV on my tablet or phone outside of my home what's the point of this app at home I'd watch on my TV not my phone. Totally pointless. Pvr on your TV box doesn't work and cache has to be constantly cleared on your over priced painfully slow outdated cipher TV bar. Think I'll cancel and try vmedia

1 ★ After I uninstall this app I got a OTA antenna I can get more Channel than what this app can give me so happy now
2 ★ There is potential and they use to have better channels but now I see mostly shopping and old movies type of channels. The subscription process is confuse... I tried to get the subscription with no luck in the past.
1 ★ I live in Toronto and when I installed on my android box it said "Unfortunately you are outside of the Cipher TV service area and we are unable to serve you with our full product. Please uninstall the Cipher TV App".

2 ★ Had this app for more than a year now. A year's worth of headaches. Needs constant rebooting. Lose of sound, picture freezing, settings changing on their own. Good concept but too many software issues.
2 ★ Too bad you are forcing people to buy the tv bar instead of letting people subscribe through your app. You will drive people away and it is your loss.
1 ★ I have 4 satellite receivers for $50.00 a month with more channels. To use this app I'll have to pay about $60.00 just for the extra Internet bandwidth above what I have plus the ciphertv charges
