Description
The New China Airlines Mobile App Features:
Book Flights
Search for flights then enter your payment details to book a flight.
Online Check-in
Passengers can check in online between 48 hours to 60 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Flights to the United States (including Guam) are subject to local government regulations, and the check-in time is between 24 hours to 60 minutes before departure.
Meal Selection
Premium business & premium economy passengers can pre-order the main courses from 21 days to 24 hours before flight departure. And all class passengers with special religious or medical requirements can pre-order the special meals at least 24 hours before flight departure.
Seat Selection
Use new China Airlines mobile app to select seats for you and your companions.
Boarding Pass/My Wallet
All you boarding passes and coupons are collected here for convenience.
Flight Information
Search and track all China Airlines timetable and flight status for the latest arrival and departure times.
My Bookings
A convenient feature that helps you manage your flight itineraries. Access important information on your flight including timetable, status, and itinerary. You also receive push notification on any changes to your flight.
Personal Information and Miles Management
Dynasty members can manage and edit their personal information, flight miles and Mileage Correction in the CI app.
Personal Promotions
Information on the latest promotions including Dynasty member exclusives and CI website.
Ancillary Service
Including Wi-Fi Onboard, high speed rail tickets, and prepaid excess baggage allowance, etc.

Passport scanning and document saving
Simply scanning your passport for filling in the information instead of typing in all; To save more time in Check-in process, you may save your travel documents in advance in ‘Settings’. This will automatically bring information in check-in process when checking in your flight.
Dynasty Sky Reading
Passengers can download the publications to their personal electronic devices (mobile phones and tablet computers) for an unlimited number of times before departure and within 48 hours after flight arrival.

App permissions
China Airlines App 25.01.20 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows mounting and unmounting file systems for removable storage.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.
Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

2 ★ After the recent updates: 1. Can't show my bookings, found by manual search but could not pin to dashboard 2. Can't show my boarding pass because it can't see my bookings 3. Attempt link to Sky Boutique actually logs me out. Re-login and it says error. Had to kill the app and launch again The exoerience is worse than before, even though you may have solved a few technical bugs.
1 ★ Never found my booking information even though it was easy found on web site. Random Chinese characters in messages. Just not a good app. I couldn't find the flight as the only destination airport I could select was Taiwan. App is hot garbage. Don't bother with the install.
4 ★ App works again after another update. Overall it is an easy App to navigate. The area to choose seats for the economy Deluxe class could not populate properly. Still able to do what needs to be done but don't try to read the text portion which is the first part you see when navigate into that section
1 ★ The recent update has rendered the App useless. Will not even open without crashing. Hope the aircraft maintenance quality control is better than the App as I fly back home from OZ in the next week. Please issue an update to resolve....
5 ★ Stable App overing all relevant function and easy to use. Excellent customer service by Email (especially team in Germany). Request for WiFi code could be simpler - why need to enter to booking codes - and Anti-Spam security checks in the App should not be needed.
1 ★ Infinite loop, Security Policy, read checked, confirmed clicked, back to read the security policy again, again, again. Can't see the rest of App at all: Waste time and battery power. Don't run the app.
1 ★ Tried to register for more than an hour but the system keeps denying it even though I filled out all the information they asked me. You should fix this app because it's only waste of time and effort
3 ★ The captcha step is messing up the use of the app because it doesn't shrink to where you can see it. Please remove this or come up with a better mobile implementation. Also you can't change your special meal in the app or website.
1 ★ Apps badly need improvement.... Despite filling up all fields, the apps keep warning " Please fill in all required field". whenever I tapped to sign up.
2 ★ I'm always being forced to log out when clicking the "Personal Details" item. Please solve this issue.
1 ★ I understand that you need to put agreements before using app. But can you check the function again? The confirm button not working at all and I am stuck in the agreement page
5 ★ Since the last Google update app not working properly keeps going to a blue screen when you click on your flights Before update worked fine
1 ★ This app sucks! You are not able to navigate or book a flight. It has no menu or choices to book a flight anywhere
1 ★ After the last update, app won't open anymore. I have a CI flight tomorrow and I can't view my boarding pass. Talk about good timing.
2 ★ Really frustrating trying to check in for a flight . Keeps coming up with cryptic error messages.
