Charity Navigator 2.2.2 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to read from external storage.

5 ★ By using this app, I know that money I donate is being used effectively by the organization I choose. That is, the money is going to the programs, not lining the pockets of the management.
1 ★ Looked up Feeding America. Not there. Looked up the top ten, utterly bogus list of charities I've never heard of. Useless.

1 ★ The last update was in June 2017. My saved Charities are no longer there and the information on other Charities is dated. It is no longer reliable due to its dated material and the fact that it does not work appropriately. Don't waste your time. I'm sorry that I had recommended this in the past to friends. The first part of my review was done in 2018 and I still see the last update is June 1997. I am sorry that I have contributed to charity Navigator and will not make further donatios to CN.

3 ★ Wish it was more robust like the website. The filter function doesn't really work when searching charities. Nice that it tells you definitions and rationale for metrics. Wish it mentioned how efficient the organization's evaluated are in achieving their target goals. Also wish there was a way to nominate a charity. Voting could be another option to crowd vote for a certain neee (they could limit up votes by requiring an account to vote and 1 vote/account)
1 ★ Love the service but the app needs work. The Lists page causes an app crash, lookup can take upward to two minutes and the UI is cluttered and needs updating.
1 ★ I love the idea and the website itself. The app crashes and I can't even view one charity. Very dissapointed!
1 ★ Something is wrong with this app. How do you give on it? Then it keeps saying no internet connection.
3 ★ Evidently, when your charity is unrated, clicking it anyway causes a yuge crash
1 ★ Recently bought off by the Clinton Foundation. I will delete it today. Very sad because I have relied on it in the past.
2 ★ Crashed. Limited search capability. Needs work.
1 ★ Screens take forever to load. Some apparently never do.
