1 ★ Sorry, but the page you're looking for wasn't found. You may have clicked an outdated or broken link, or we may have moved or deleted the page... this is the message you'll recieve if you believe that you can do absolutely anything with this app. It is a complete waste of time. There are countless things that will be just as useful for paying your cable bill, e.g. eating a blt, chasing a chicken, shooting some h, throwing your phone at a passing car. All equally as productive.
1 ★ When trying to set up a replacement modem, QR codes and barcodes were too small to scan correctly. Going in to phone settings to connect to wifi, instructions said to go back to the app to finish setup, but what they meant was press the "back" button on the phone. Otherwise the setup app closes and you have to start completely over. Pretty typical CenturyLink quality, hence the 1-star rating.
1 ★ A bill paying app? Great. My bill is on auto pay. Doesn't seem to do much more. It's having trouble displaying my services; all I have is internet. The downloaded statement can't be opened. I was hoping to see an option to reboot my modem from the app, since I have to keep doing that about once a month when my internet decides to stop working. I never thought I would find an internet provider worse than Comcast, but here I have it! CenturyLink - throttled "high-speed" packages and useless app.
4 ★ Updated: They fixed my below issue. Great until it wasn't. I loved the fact I could pause the internet on my children's devices at night so they could sleep. Everything was working great until recently. Now the option in the app to pause/unpause has disappeared and I am unable to activate the internet on their devices, as it seems to be permanent now. I've done troubleshooting, turn off and on, still nothing. Very disappointed.
4 ★ The app works okay, I use it mainly for paying bills now, however the last few months I had to go back to paying my bill through my PC (Firefox web browser on Windows 7) due to the app throwing an error every time I attempted to log into it (seems to have happened after an update sometime between September to October). It took me a few months to find a fix for this, but finally found a way to fix it on 12/9/2021. What I did to fix the issue was to Force Stop the app, then clear both cache & data for it from my phone (a full uninstall & reinstall isn't required, but I expect would also work). After doing this & restarting the app, I was able to log into the app again.
1 ★ The options in the actual app are never what they show in the help topic. I use it to pay my bill/change my wifi password. When I actually find it I can't tell you how I got there. Sometimes it shows the options I want, sometimes it doesn't. 80% of the time, it is "experiencing technical difficulties" anyway. Several months ago it did not record my payments multiple times, even though I had the bank statements showing a deduction. They charged fees. It was a mess.
5 ★ Update to my previous review. Used the app to pay my bill and the response time from the app was almost instantaneous. Quite literally less than 1 second. Additionally in MO we've been having a few power fluctuations and outages due to weather. I've been able to check and reset my modem/WiFi using the app. Pretty helpful in that way. So big improvements. I hope they're maintained.
2 ★ In the last year, I've been successful in making a payment through the app, once. I had to uninstall and reinstall several times in order to do so. I'm attempting it again. It's quite aggravating to have an app and website both that fail when you're trying to make payments. It's a "here, take my money" that's met with "sorry, can't, but here's your late fees. Thanks for playing!" Devs, I know you can do better.
1 ★ Had Century Link because it was the only service available at my location. Recently another provider became accessable so I switched asap. I feel Century Link was slow and overpriced. I only recommend them if you have no other option. They made it impossible for me to cancel my service with them so I still have their modem, and an ever increasing bill that I will not be paying. You can easily begin service or change services, but when you want to cancel it's unbelievably difficult or impossible!
1 ★ CenturyLink is beyond disappointing. I closed my account over a month ago and they still try to charge me. Every time I call, they say that they have fixed the issue but I continue to get alerts and emails from them. I payed my balance when I closed the account. If you can find ANY other company to get service for internet through, do it. Not to mention the speed was shotty at best and that is with using the router they sell.
4 ★ The bill is a good price each month that never changes my bill is always the same. I really only have one issue with this internet and that's when it rains it goes out and I have to wait till the rain stops then reboot my modem. I do have the high-speed wireless and when it actually works it's pretty good both my kids game and it works really well with that.
1 ★ App is horrible along with the website! It is a constant battle just to login for any reason! It tells me my account number is incorrect along with my email, phone # etc. But all that information is correct when I reserve my payment email confirmation when my bill is paid! If there was another service able in my area I would switch it a heartbeat!!!!!! Very frustrated customer!!!!
1 ★ Nothing to write home about. Even with faster internet speeds my Wi-Fi is intermittent at best, constantly disconnects when streaming on my chromecast. Expect about two hours of constantly being disconnected when you're trying to call or chat with service. Comcast is no better. I'm just biding my time until I can get Google Fiber in my area.
1 ★ This app works great when you want to check your centurylink account. However, it's not great because it automatically opens itself interrupting whatever business I'm doing at the time. This CenturyLink app automatically opened itself when my phone was sitting unlocked on the table without me touching it. The only way I found to stop this "feature" was to delete the app.
1 ★ Awful!! Worthless! LESS THAN ZERO The only option that works on this app is "pay my bill quickly". I've waited on hold for an hour with customer service only to get help from someone who doesn't speak English. I've tried to use the customer service chat option but last week I was number 70 in line. CenturyLink is overpriced and incompetent. So disappointing as I've been with them (and predecessors) for 40 years.
