Since Android 10 background clipboard access has been limited so you have to grant these ADB permissions to Clip Stack on your computer:
adb -d shell appops set com.catchingnow.tinyclipboardmanager SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW allow;
adb -d shell pm grant com.catchingnow.tinyclipboardmanager android.permission.READ_LOGS;
adb -d shell am force-stop com.catchingnow.tinyclipboardmanager;
There is no impact on the version below android 10 and can be used directly.

Notification will be displayed only when copying new text and you can dismiss it by swipe or even disable it by long press.
🌐 Permission Usage
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Start a background service to listen the system clipboard. It only cost 6M - 10M RAM. You can close it in Settings if you really don't want it.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: For export clipboard history. This app won't write any other files to your SD card.
VENDING.BILLING: Only for donate. Clip stack is a free app.
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW and READ_LOGS: For Android 10's background clipboard limitation and will not be used on other systems.

1 ★ After reading a stellar review of this app, I installed it only to find that I must run an ADB command (whatever that is) on my PC to get it to work. Why on my PC? Isn't this an Android app??? I'm an IT tech but I have no idea what that is nor do I have time to go down multiple rabbit holes to find out. Unless the dev has a real workaround, this app is useless.
5 ★ Copies & pastes, as it says it will do. Easy to use, can store and reuse. An easy 5 stars. Hey Google, it's not working on a Pixel 8a, devrloper says to use a pc, but how does it get to the phone?
4 ★ irreplaceable app! but intermittent (and growing) failures to collect clipboard contents in android 14 (samsung s23), even with adb fix. google barriers, no doubt.
1 ★ Do not update 😡 I had had some old version it was working flawless. Never updated. I do not remember early version either. Accidentally last week (June 2024) play store auto upgrade was switched on and app was updated to the latest version here. My battery was dying fast, when I check ClipStack has killed 29% of the battery a day. Next best the phone app was used only 3% of the battery 😬🫢😭😭
