3 ★ This app works but is somewhat buggy. When I open to the home screen, it showed my closest store, but when I tap on that, it takes me to a map of Brooklyn. I'm in Phoenix. when i was signing up I had to input my birthday multiple times because it kept resetting the month I had input. Credit where credit is due, it looks great, and once I got over the specific bus, daily operation works well
1 ★ Wow is the new app terrible. It's incredibly slow and buggy. It takes forever to load the different screens. I got really sick of hitting the "Try again" button on the "Oops, we spilled the coffee" error message page. When I was finally ready to complete my order (after 10 minutes-I timed it), I paid and a message popped up. I have no idea what the message actually said since it was just blank with an "ok" button. My order never went through, but my card was charged.
1 ★ This app was great! Easy to access perks and order on the go. However, both my wife and I can no longer access the home screen where the qr code lives for adding points to our perks account. We have Samsung S8 & S10. The app tells us both that it spilled our coffee and to try again. I have cleared cache and app data-restart. Uninstalled-restart. On both devices with the same result.
3 ★ Update: The app loading issues have been fixed and it runs a lot smoother now. I've run into no issues placing orders, outside of the interface being a little harder to find what drink you're looking for. It's split between trending/signature/etc when previously hot/cold/blended/etc worked just fine. Coffee and baristas are always great though!
4 ★ Convenient and easy, and the trivia is fun. Definitely a time-saver! Two suggestions: 1) Please add a way to leave a tip for the wonderful baristas! 2) When an update occurs, please give people a little time to update instead of shutting down app access until update is complete. It's frustrating to have money stored in the app and learn while waiting in line that I can't access it until I update the app to the newest version. If I'm short on time or space on my device, I can't update immediately and can't access my funds until I do. I almost deleted the app because of it. Otherwise, great app! Thanks.
5 ★ They fixed the bugs! So I've upped my rating from 1 star back to 5 stars. :) It used to crash when doing anything related to location permissions and when setting up a credit card on file. But it hasn't crashed once in the last few days. I like the new app interface more than the old, but I still get confused about the weird categories on the menu. Sometimes it's hard to find things. But I use this app multiple times a week again, and I really like it. :)
1 ★ Promotional notifications pop up once a day but there is no way to read them and they aren't sent to the app's inbox. the inbox is a useless feature. The only reason to have this app is to see how many points you've earned and to place orders for pick up. **Edit** Where did all of the coffee options go?! There's only 1 hot drink option (hot press) and many of the cold drink options are missing (i.e. Iced Mocha) but the store still serves other options. So much for contactless payments, etc.
1 ★ I greatly miss the "recent purchases" feature on the old app. It allowed me to easily order from different locations without having to re-select everything everytime. It felt more like true "one-click" ordering. Absolutely despise the extra steps which very often lead to making mistakes with either selection drink or location. Please bring back the old recent purchases feature.
4 ★ I sure wish I could save favorites, and I would love to be able to use my rewards on the app instead of POS. I do love how easy it is to customize my order, and that I can order from my phone. It's also a beautiful app, and really clear on rewards expectations. I'm a recent switch, but the app has made it so convenient I think I'll stay for life!
2 ★ The main functions of the app work great and it's very easy to use, but my only annoyance with it is the promo alerts/notifications. When I click on any of them they do not show in the app or I have no way of seeing what the promo was after clicking. I would have expected the notifications to be stored in the inbox option of the app but it's always empty. Edit: updating my review since none of the rewards seem to work in this app. What's the point of showing rewards notifications?
5 ★ This app was designed very well to be engaging and inviting but not pesky. I play the trivia even when I won't be going to the store. My favorite part is being able to see my points and available offers. I mostly don't order ahead because I use a travel mug. But I have ordered ahead on a few occasions and it works great. If I'm not near my usual shop, the app helps me choose a nearby location. Placing the order is very easy. These days (pandemic), most stores will bring the order out to you.
2 ★ Not sure if this is a bug or intentional but I can not process the purchase that has a point reward attached to it unless I leave a tip. A bit strange. Also the old version would have a prompt pop up to add funds if you are trying to check out with insufficient funds, which was nice and quick. This version only has a message pop up and then you have to go back to the menu yourself to add funds. Please make it automated again
4 ★ The updated app was basically unusable at first and not sure why there wasn't a rollback. As of about mid-Oct, the bugs seem to be fixed and the app is usable. The updated app looks modern, features are implemented better and more user friendly. A few suggestions for the menu buttons: 1. Change the menu button sizes or font to be able to see the whole word. "All day..." as a button is not very intuitive. 2. Every menu button after bagels jumps to bagels menu not bakery, oatmeal, bottled..., Etc
2 ★ Works like it should I suppose, but don't see the point. You can't order in advance and pick up at the window like other food ordering apps; was recently told at my frequent location that I must come inside to pick up, which I was unaware of. That's the only reason I use apps like this, convenience. Doesn't make sense for Minnesota weather and having 2 toddlers.
1 ★ I can't use the app. I tried to order, kept getting error messages, finally gave up. Later, I saw charges on my bank account - it looked like an order was placed, twice. I looked at my transaction history on the app and apparently it did go through, but was refunded, twice. However, even though I paid with my debit card, the refund was given as CC credit. So they took my money and now I have to use it at Caribou even if I don't want to. Not happy at all.
