MAIN FEATURES
- Normal mode: copy text from any application such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Chrome, WhatsApp, Tumblr, News Republic, Snapchat...
- Scanner mode: copy text inside images (OCR technology). It currently works with Chinese, Devanagari (Hindi...), Japanese, Korean and Latin (English, Portuguese...) character sets.
- Smart detection of entities: addresses, emails, phone numbers, @, #... are automatically detected by Universal Copy.
- Copy-Paste in 1-tap: perform quick actions (translate, locate, share…) on the text you selected. This saves a lot of app switching.
- Scroll mode: select texts from multiple screens or apps to copy them all.

A FEW EXAMPLES WITH UNIVERSAL COPY
You can use Universal Copy to:
- copy Youtube comments (the app normally prevents you to)
- copy text that is inside an image
- copy all the text that appears on your screen
- copy all the text from multiple pages and apps (with scroll mode)
- extract an address inside a text message and open Google Maps to locate it in no time
- detect multiple hashtags on Instagram or Twitter and copy them all at the same time, even they are not originally next to one another
- extract all the accounts tagged in a post or comments
These are only a few examples, the possibilities with Universal Copy are limitless!

HOW TO USE IT?
1. Go to the App / Picture / Document you want to copy text from
2. Launch the Universal Copy mode from your notification bar or via a shortcut. Select Normal or Scanner mode.
3. 🪄 The magic happens: Universal Copy smartly detects all text areas and extracts addresses, emails, phone numbers, @, #...
4. Select the text(s) you want to copy or a quick action (translate, locate, share…), it’s done!

HOW TO SET IT UP?
1. Download and install the app
2. Activate the Universal Copy accessibility service (Settings > Accessibility). This service is required for the app to work properly.
3. Universal Copy is ready, you can launch it anytime via: your notification drawer, a tile, a long press on a physical button of your phone
Note: The service can be deactivated automatically by your Android system, then you should enable the setting ‘let app run in background’ in Universal Copy and disable battery optimizer for Universal Copy. Unfortunately, this matter is out of our hands.

This app uses Accessibility services. (BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE to access the text displayed on your screen to be able to copy it)

Universal Copy 6.3.5 APK requires following permissions:
Must be required by an AccessibilityService, to ensure that only the system can bind to it.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.

4 ★ Scanner feature was made free with ads. That's a step in the right direction, rather than forcing greedy sub. There's also now a lifetime option too for $10! As many apps turn to a subscription model, more people will have to choose what apps they want to subscribe to or not. Not all of us are rich. A dollar a month here, a dollar a month there, and it all adds up quickly. At least now I have a reason to update and quit using my modded version, that is unless the ads become too intrusive.
1 ★ The app no longer copies content to the clipboard at all. You can select any amount of text you want but it will never go to the clipboard. I'm guessing an API was changed at some point and the app wasn't updated to reflect it.
5 ★ Excellent app, and well worth paying the $10 to get rid of ads. Have you ever posted a comment to Instagram or Snapchat, where you screwed it up and want to edit? Instagram won't let you copy anything. This tool will allow you to copy your comment, then delete the original, and repost it. In effect, this app is an editing tool for text in all social sites
1 ★ This worked well on Android v9 but I now have v11 and this app won't even enable itself. No functionality at all. Subscription ended after three years. App "Copy Text On Screen" works great.
1 ★ Great, new version ruined the app. Now it hijacks your phone every time you copy with a big, white screen with a giant ad begging you to buy or subscribe. It was fine yesterday and I'll just downgrade manually and never allow the app to update again. Impressive how an app can go from essential to worthless in less than 24 hours.
1 ★ Ads that hijack your phone make this unsuable and extremely irritating. I'm never going to pay to be able to copy and paste on a device I already pay for. FO.
1 ★ Used to be one of my favorite apps, but it's become completely unusable. Ever since the addition of ads, even if you pay for it, it's laggy and slow and nearly impossible to use. Way to break a great app.
5 ★ Was excellent and still deserves a 4*. Still works but now does not work as well. Android update to blame, not dev. Dev: the copy ,after adds, works sometimes and after a delay. To be fair, this seems to be the only copy app that has some functionality after A10 update.
5 ★ Doesn't work with YouTube anymore. Edit. Then use OCR as the main feature and include advertisements for the free version. Amazing. Works perfectly. Great that you listened. I downloaded it again and will definitely be using it a lot. Thanks.
1 ★ After update the app is slow to copy. Ad pops up after each copy and hangs/crashes app. Nothing copied though. Not really a great update. Used to be great.
1 ★ Please can you change universal copy to the former version? its more awesome with former version. But this new version keep saying there is no text found in normal mode and we have to switch, something that dont ask that before also before i can select a specific text but this new version did not allow me to again 😢 please help

2 ★ This app does a good job of copying text on apps you normally couldn't. But it now pops up a full screen ad every time you copy, unless you pay $10 for the pro version. Today I got a full screen ad WITH SOUND that I couldn't skip for 5 seconds...
5 ★ I've just used this app, and I find it perfect. I've not been asked to pay for anything yet as the claims in some of the reviews state. It gets the job absolutely done, plus the system interface is user friendly.
3 ★ My primary language is bengali. But through scanner mode it can't identify bengali text at all. So it is very much problematic for me. I request you to do anything, so that we can use its all feature.
