Description
This container app provides conference apps that allow you to view the schedule, presentations, exhibitors and speaker details from the conferences. Users can take notes adjacent available presentation slides and draw directly on slides inside the app. Note-taking is also available in the posters and exhibitors modules.
Additionally, users can share information with attendees and colleagues with in app messaging, tweeting and emailing.
App permissions
eventScribe 2.6.0 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to read the user's calendar data.
Allows an application to write the user's calendar data.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to write the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to record audio.
Allows an application to call killBackgroundProcesses(String].
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

3 ★ The app had a couple of glitches and another drawback. It didn't load presentations or slides consistently across users and the on-site staff were not able to get fix this. It was a pain to have to select the conference each time it was opened and there did not seem to be a way to get the conference to stay open on the app.
4 ★ I used the app for the GSA conference. The app makes me choose my event every time. I should be able to go to my conference immediately. Also, I have to scroll down to click on my schedule. What I'm saying is the usability could be better. The app works as advertised and is also able to deal with losing internet connectivity.
5 ★ Enjoying the ease of scheduling seminar attendance at upcoming conference. I can scroll through each day, star what I'm interested in and then view my individual plans on a single screen. Also appreciate that the events show on my Google calendar as well. Great sorting tools to view conference info and read bios of presenters. This app makes planning a breeze.
4 ★ Initially a problem to set up and use. App was reinstalled and all problems were corrected. Suggestion: put SUBMIT at end of evaluation, not beginning. Format/overall layout nice. Ability to access multiple types of info done very well. Good job overall.
4 ★ got a "check internet connection" error second time i opened the app. i had to reinstall to get it to work, but it retained my information. i haven't had any further problems, but I know of one other person that had the same experience.
5 ★ the app is so in depth it takes a moment to learn what a help it is. I was surprised how I stumbled into shortcuts by tapping a name or title and I'm sure if I make more use of it I'd move around the conference much better.
4 ★ Once you figure out the need for eventScribe, it is fairly easy to use. It would be nice if when you are on a particular page and close the app, once reopened it opens back to the last place you left.
5 ★ Wonderful app. Made it so easy to keep track of information for my conference. Love the note taking and slide download feature. I really appreciated one place with all the information I needed for a week long conference, from speaker contact info to schedule of events.
1 ★ unable to search events. just installed the app and can't seem to search for the event i am looking for. from the "search" screen, nothing happens after i enter the event name and hit enter, and there is no "search" button to press.
4 ★ Great way to have access to meeting. Love ease and flow. Great tool. Did not work well at first but reloaded and works better.
5 ★ loved how I could have updated event information as well as messages prior to planned events. I was able to individualize my schedule and view slides.
4 ★ I wish they included a map of the facility to make food choices easier. Having access to the handouts and evaluations was great!
1 ★ Total garbage app. Easier to just look up the schedule on the conference website. Not user friendly and loaded with ads.
5 ★ Easy to explore . The lectures are divided based on day, theme, speaker , etc which really helps what you want to attend. Thanks!
5 ★ excellent conference service! Made the conference so much more navigable than the MONTHS leading up to Con trying to use their website!
