Download the latest MIDI Voyager Pro application, version 5.3.3, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Music & Audio app is developed by bytebolt and is easy to download and install.

Soundfont Player:

Any soundfont of file format sf2 or sfz can be used, also compressed soundfonts (wavpack or flac).
The soundfont that ships with this app offers acceptable sounds in relation to its size: just 3 MB. Its just something to start with. Anyway you should use your own soundfont. One of the most popular free soundfonts is "Chorium (Revision A)" (27 MB) by openwrld.
Visualizer:

By coloring the notes depending on their pitch the harmonic development, different tonal areas / modulations / key changes become visible at a glance!
Even large MIDI files (eg. a symphony) will be visualized in 2-3 seconds !
Also so called "black midi" files (up to million notes or more) can be played back completely. Only the number of notes to display needs to be limited. You can set this number -> Try how many notes your device can take (e.g. with Nexus 7 up to 400.000 notes)
MIDI file user settings

All loops, markers, instrument/track assignments are stored in a separate settings file. Each time a MIDI file gets loaded it will search for an existing settings file.

5 ★ Need to be able to adjust background colour and the very light grey background text colour. I am able to change the currently played text but being able to see what is coming next is hard on my eyes. I use this app whilst outside most of the time. I need to be able to see all text clearly.... overall this is the best app on the market by far. I have in the past made other suggestions of which you have followed through with....
5 ★ Great app for learning new tunes as both the tempo and key of the tune can be changed. Can also mute any track to make it easier to hear just the instrument you want.

5 ★ Great piece of software!!! For me, the meat and potatoes of the app is being able to insert markers and set up loops so sections can be repeated and slowed down for easy learning. As music plays, notes show on a piano keyboard as well as a piano roll display that can be configured several ways - horizontal, vertical, etc. There is capability to load different sets of sounds, a mixer with ability to solo and mute individual tracks, and lots of bells and whistles too numerous to mention here.
5 ★ This app is extremely useful for analyzing the harmonic structure of some favorite songs. If you are a composer, you are curious about how your favorite musicians wrote their material and you can find accurate midis, then there is no better app for this. Even better is you can treat the songs with a soundfont of your choice. Thanks for this app.
5 ★ I recently bought this app, having used the free version for a few weeks. I emailed the developer last week with some minor suggestions and have already had my feedback realised. Can't recommend this app highly enough - as a musician who needs to learn a lot of music in a short amount of time, this app has already proven and invaluable tool and far better than other MIDI players that I've tried. Having such responsive technical support has only made the experience more enjoyable.
4 ★ Extremely well built app. Supports midi fairly well, however playback does have a problem. For some reason, instrument changes do not get sent. All the channels get played through midi as piano, despite the file and/or user settings being set otherwise. Yamaha PSR-240 with generic MIDI/USB converter.
5 ★ It took me a while to grasp how this app works as the user interface is quite unusual. However as you discover all its features it becomes remarkably useful: especially the ability to change the pitch and tempo of MIDI tunes as well as just playing them, and to export as WAV. It's the most capable MIDI player I've found for Android. Recommended
5 ★ For the past two years, MIDI Voyager has been my best experience with MIDI on Android. I use it daily to visualize notes, experimenting with SoundFonts, and really just to chill and listen. It's capable of handling Impossible Music (Black MIDI,) and outperforms other MIDI players when playing them.
2 ★ Thought this might be a good program for performing with midi tracks. Was dissapointed. There is no visual metronome and the markers (which one would hope to use as cue points) do not appear on the song's timeline so they are practically useless. Oh well. Guess I'll stick to my laptop.
5 ★ Love this app. But: With Android 10, the features for downloading from a url in the clipboard seem broken. And, while I'm thinking about those downloads, it would be nice if the files were saved using the decoded path from the url. The url encoding makes filenames with (eg) spaces (%20) hard to read.
5 ★ This program is really well done. UI is intuitive, the perspective modes make the tedium of editing and analyzing rather interesting, a lot of time was put into this. Well done. Kudos to the dev.
4 ★ Great sound. The ability to add multiple sound fonts is awesome! The only thing I wish were better is the scanning function. It is not as straightforward as other apps like poweramp. I have already used it to transpose several pieces for guitar
