5 ★ Very good hand held machine for quick bedside point of care ultrasound. Unbeatable price. Quality very good for a portable 2k device. Software updates can take some time but it is still worth it. I use it almost every day as a hospitalist.
5 ★ App kept crashing. I have requested for help through it. No response for the past 10days! Planning to swith to Clarius. Butterfly iq have contacted me since and seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks.
5 ★ Reviewing the Android capable butterfly paired with a Pixel 3. First started using the iPhone version of the gadget and app, and found both steadily improved since inception, with the team readily fixing glitches and bugs as they were discovered; I thought the most recent version I used (mid 2019) was polished and highly functional. Since switching to Android for convenience, I've found this software to be equally polished and effective. I hope they'll support other Android devices soon too.
5 ★ Update (4/30/2020): - changed to 5 star. De-identified images are shareable. - No auto-EF or bladder volume still but really good images over-all. I'm surprised how well certain pre-sets help to find stuff. Example: setting to abdominal pre-set and looking at lung bases for effusions --> you get significantly more detail with that change. Satisfied and recommend to anyone that is permitted to use it. Especially with COVID since you can just set it to lung mode --> posterior lung fields paravertebral --> see a lot of B-lines? It's COVID. --- Previously 4 star (Jan 2020): Good so far. Sad that some features are iPhone only. The AI to measure bladder volumes or do automatic EF measurements aren't in the Android version as far as I can tell. You also can't download de-identified ultrasound images to share as far as I can tell. Still giving 4* though since at least does the basics of what's expected. Cardiac mode though is...iffy. Sometimes displays great! Sometimes can't get anything. I'm not amazing at echoes but I would expect I could find something. Pixel 4
5 ★ It's amazing that I can carry an ultrasound with me and pull it out when I need it. Company has stellar customer service - I had connection issues with my probe that was addressed quickly. One star off for nitpicking reasons. As noted previously cardiac imaging is not perfect and there is definitely room for improvement. Hopefully software can adresss the issues. Update: rolling out additional android support which is great to see.
4 ★ Pretty amazing device, but not perfect... Had some issues with the app freezing and restarting (I have Samsung S20 Ultra). With the new update it seems better. Cadiac US not as good as I hoped but better than GE Vscan portable. Low frequency (Abd) seems better overall for image acquisition. Today I was able to get amazing pictures of my pregnant fiancee and our baby on OB mode (18 weeks)!!! I like it though. .hope the software updates keep improving the app.
1 ★ Have had this probe for 5 months and have not been able to use it. Had the galaxy note 8. Upgraded to the note 20 just to be able to use the probe and it is still not compatible. No way I m recommending this to any of my partners. Why don't they make the software available to every Android device and then say their customer support will only troubleshoot pbms on SUPPORTED devices only. I suspect the company will eventually go bankrupt at this point.
4 ★ I love my butterfly IQ+. I'm a first year medical resident. However. I've had multiple issues with the device in the past month. Two USB-C cords have been defective. After buying a new one, the ultrasound probe just turns off when I connect to the butterfly US app now. I've messaged their contact support multiple times, left voicemails, and it takes days for them to respond once. I love my butterfly, but customer support needs to improve.
3 ★ Hi, I am using the probe with Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. Two issues: 1. The app does not auto-rotate. Please fix it. 2. The scanning session ends abruptly after about 1-2 minutes. Is this an app issue? A probe manufacturer's setting? Or a probe issue? Thnx
5 ★ Works well on Android. Using a Pixel4. Occasionally the connection with the probe becomes glitchy, some of the software and cloud base flows also time out. The App development team are lightening fast to address issues and come up with solutions. They are also open to feedback/content suggestions!
1 ★ The images keeps freezing I can't practicaly use it .. I re installed it a few times and the issue continues I tried it on Samsung tablet S6 and smartphone S8.. I also disappointed that I bought mine just a couple months before new edition and was not advised to wait. After sale service are really good to communicate with they have sent me a replacement butterfly but my problem continues. ..
5 ★ I have been using the Android Butterfly since it became available on the Pixel 3. It works just as well as the iPhone version, great quality images, reliable, easy interface. Definitely recommend.
1 ★ After waiting for 1 year ( I bought the probe on the premise that the android app was coming out soon) the app closes with the message that my device is not compatible. It is ridiculous that my note 8 won't be compatible.... it has more processing power than supposed ios devices that work. Do you have a beta ver I can sideload and test?
