Business Standard News 1.19 APK requires following permissions:
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

1 ★ App is getting closed and unable to read any news even after taking paid subscription. User interface is pathetic, really surprised to see even Bangladesh Business Standard is better than yours

1 ★ It is a third rate app. Very slow. They don't have a concept of trial. They don't return your money. Mint, Moneycontrol PRO and ET Prime are much much better. I cancelled future debuts cancelling my subscription within 3 days.
1 ★ After opting for paid membership for 1799/-, I feel duped when I am unable to log in my paid account on mobile. Secondly because I don't allow the app to manage calls. Mostly I don't carry a laptop and need immediate news on mobile. If this is the trend of BS, who the hell is going to renew subscription, much less, recommend to others. A very bad experience.
5 ★ This is an excellent app with updated news and I've been a subscriber since a couple of years. Prompt resolution provided by the back end team when the app kept crashing on my new Android 11 platform. Appreciate the efforts. Thank you
2 ★ When will the app have the dark interface. And the app is not optimised for tablet usage. I am not going to pay for a subscription until i have an app fully loaded with features. The content, no doubt, is good but the interface must be great too...
1 ★ Breach of privacy. Why does a news application need access to make calls on my phone?? Regret paying for a subscription.
1 ★ don't know why this app need the permission for managing calls and messages and what's the need of giving 2 options deny and allow, when it wants us to only allow? why there's an auto checked check box in the payment page for deduction everymonth and saving the card details even if I don't want.. give an option for everymonth payment on self... this is really horrible..
2 ★ While news content is good, the UI is pathetic , slow and very outdated. Whenever we read a story and come back on home page then it comes back to top of the page and we have to again scroll down to the required story. Seems app was developed by some pre historic era developer

1 ★ App asks for access to my call records. You're a news app for god's sake what business do you have snooping into my phone records? It's absolutely unjustified of you to ask and is even more infuriating that I can't use the app without giving access. I was thinking of taking a subscription but would rather go with Mint now. Do consider improving on this. Thanks.
