Licensing troubleshooting:
- If after the purchase and installation of the app you get a license failure notification, this is because the purchase may take some time to be recorded on the Google license server. It will resolve within a few hours or you can try re-installing and restarting your device.
- If you get "Not compatible with your device" from the Market App, please try clearing your Market App Cache (Settings, Applications, Market, Clear Cache) and restarting your device.
- BSPlayer app uses Google's standard licensing service. Keep Wi-Fi or mobile data enabled at the the first run of application. Further internet connection will not be required. Also, for existing users having problems with licensing - you may try "Clear app data" function and run app with internet connection enabled. This should license your app.

NOTE: When reporting error please add info about your device brand and model. Also you can send us more detailed bug report on e-mail android@bsplayer.com. We are trying to improve the media player for the users and your feedback is highly appreciated.

Ratings and Reviews

1 ★ Terrible update. App does not recognize changed via PC folders content. Still shows unexisted folder and does not see new ones. It doesn't even see added files.

3 ★ Casting to a Chromecast does not work. All I get is a BS player logo on the screen, but the video still plays on my phone.

2 ★ Latest update is a disaster. Such a shame. This was the best android video player. So easy to configure for network streaming. Now I can't even scroll through a file list without it crashing. There are crippling bugs everywhere. It's so bad the developer has a link to a legacy version which is the version to use.

3 ★ Love the legacy version of this app, but the new app got few of issues that makes it worst than the old one: Sometimes subtitles just stop showing. Downloaded subtitles almost never work. It doesn't remember my folder sorting preferences, I always need to reselect sorting by time. I liked the time & battery status text shown on the old version when tapping the screen, don't know why they removed it.

1 ★ If you're going to suddenly, completely and totally change the interface, to something that can not be used on a media streamer, then I'd like my money back, please. I didn't pay so I could be a guineapig in your beta test. I paid you money because you *HAD* a product that worked. But now, after an automatic update, I find my software has morphed into something totally useless to me. Either give me access to an earlier version, or cough up a refund, please.

2 ★ December update completely broke the app for me. It did work just long enough for me to notice that the variable playback speed feature has been removed. Now, after getting a file/folder list from my LAN, the app quits, and refuses to play anything. Forced to use VLC as a poor substitute...help!

2 ★ I've been using bsplayer since 2006. No complaints until now. Worked great until the last update for Android.Either the newest version of Android or bsplayer. not sure, except now it locks up, freezes, black screens out, stalls & have to reboot the android anytime it blacks out/stalls. Cleared my android & bsplayer cache & seems to work but then does it again. No problem until now, it's horrible! I have to reboot my device constantly! Please fix this or keep last version, what a shame really 😞

5 ★ Still best player feature wise for me but two major issues include a problem since Android 8 where it'll often hang up when you start a video and you have to force close it and try again. Reproduced on three devices, old phone on Android 7 is ok. Second issue is I can't get it to support x265 at all. Audio only black screen. -editing back to 5 stars as since the Android Pie update, it supports x265 and the issue with hang ups and force restarts is gone. performance even improved somehow!

3 ★ Great app but has problems. First the app crashes if you play movie for some time and you want to close it and then come back back again. You need to force stop the app and reopen. Second the app cannot download subtitles with data on (4g) but with wifi works great why is that?

1 ★ Latest version is totally broken, cannot even play files one by one, stuttering in videos, awful new interface, completely unintuitive, app works much slower, audio channel switcing is broken too, and I lost all my configured settings from previous version. I will switch back to previous version.

2 ★ LAN streaming does not work on my pixel 3. Looking at other reviews it doesn't seem to be working for Android Pie. I've been using this app for a few years, I was very much satisfied, but since I'm only using it for LAN stuff, it's now just a waste of money for me. Please fix.

5 ★ One of the very few apps I've taken the time to review as it's that good. Allows me to be in complete control, relatively speaking, of what and how I consume my media. +1 in that the app is kept updated still and I've been using this app for a while.

5 ★ Best video player on Android. It basically plays anything I throw at it, with ease. The interface is spot on for make adjustments and the quickly fades away afterwards (configurable). Auto downloading of subtitles makes life so much easier and speeding up playback allows one to quickly fill up on media. I've bee a user for several years and have tried other players, but none is as smooth as this one.

1 ★ This app used to be great, sadly this is not the case any longer. I don't have time to install different codec packs, so that I can play a simple .mkv file. Uninstalled & installed the free VLC Player, that app plays EVERYTHING and it doesn't cost anything (but I intend to donate)!

1 ★ Can't play any files. Click on the menu and choose File Browser. Clicking on a video doesn't do anything. I don't understand why this app is completely broken when BS Player switched to this new version. It makes no sense. I would not recommend this new version of this app. I'm only using the Legacy version.
