Description
Main features:

- Multiple audio streams and subtitles.

- Find subtitles automatically (mobile data or wi-fi must be enabled to work)
- Playback media files such as videos and mp3's directly via Wi-Fi from your network shared drives/folders (such as external USB drives, Samba (SMB/CIFS) shared drives, PC shared folders, NAS servers (Synology and others)) - no need to convert video files and copy media files to SD card anymore!
- Playback files directly from uncompressed RAR files
- Lock screen to prevent accidental change of videos (children lock)
- support for USB OTG (On-The-Go) for example: Nexus media importer, USB OTG Helper, USB Host Controller... and much more!
This package includes support for ARMv7 with VFP and NEON. For other CPU types please download appropriate package. Application will notify you which package you need.
BSPlayer version is ad-supported video player. BSPlayer full version without advertisements with added functionality is available on Google Play.

This software uses code of FFmpeg licensed under the LGPLv2.1 and its source can be downloaded from BSPlayer website.

*Hardware acceleration support depends on device video decoder capability. Hardware accelerated playback in portrait mode may be corrupted on some HTC models (HD and others - hardware issue). Also on some devices (Samsung galaxy S2) zoom/stretch may not work on all video types.

1 ★ Update: app still opens ads with loud audio. At least mute them by default, no one wants to listen to ads when the app is just opened! Updated: this app uses your internet connection to load ads. Due to ads playing just by opening the app. Very Lameeeee!
3 ★ I found a bug. If you want to load subtitles or additional audio track, the default folder is not the folder with video, but internal card - without a possibility to change this. As a result, if you playing video from Samba it's not possible to load additional subtitles or audio. I think, you should use folder with video file as a default one.
1 ★ I was going to reward you guys 5 stars but I changed my mind when I noticed how often the app crashes. I would expect crashes and glitches and freezes on a cheap phone with low ram and stupid CPU, but I use a Galaxy 9+ which is almost free (storage very low used) and a ton of ram, cpu speed, adreno gpu. And BSPlayer still freezes on a 480p video?? I mean COME ON!!! Do you hate your users....
3 ★ Used to be my favorite media player for years. Unfortunately it crashes a lot lately, especially on mkv files to a point where I need to force it to close. The brightness and volume on screen control is not sensitive enough and minor adjustments are difficult to carry out. It's either insanely loud or dead quiet. The controls are not accurate.
4 ★ 4/5 because it's so annoying that even when you delete a file from the phone, the app keeps showing the title like it's still there 😒
3 ★ Edit 3/4/20: I thought it was only fair to amend my review. For a week after the update it did not work. Then suddenly it started working. I made no changes to my device, did not even restart it. Don't know if tbe author did a quick fix or what, but it does not crash anymore trying to read files. [Old review] Great update guys! BSPlayer has been working fine for years, but now if I try to play my mp3 files on my SD card it freezes and dies. I dont have time for this.
