GDB v2.0 Supports almost all of the garage door openers on the market except the following models. Please contact us at http://garagedoorbuddy.com/#contact or garagedoorbuddy@gmail.com if you are not certain.
1. Liftmaster/Chamberlain/Craftsman security+2.0 openers are not supported. To support these openers, a customized adapter is required. You can purchase the customized adapter from us.
2. Genie Series III openers are not supported. To support these openers, Genie 38013R Dry Contact Adapter or a customized adapter is required. You can purchase the customized adapter from us.

4 ★ As advertised, reliable and straightforward!
1 ★ It worked well for years but the installation for my "not the typical network" was always a PITA because of the "installation for dummies" not letting me set my information. After a SSID change for other reasons, meaning do a reset and start from scratch since you can't change any settings, the devices will not appear in the app. Many, many resets and reconfigs layer and numerous emails with tech support I gave up. I am now using a $5 device and OSS. Google Sonoff SV or nodeMCU.
5 ★ Works great with more current software and firmware, love it now! Reiterated in April 2018!
2 ★ The gui is terrible. Needs to be urgently refreshed. Needs to be combined with monitoring app.
5 ★ It works just fine, nothing fancy but does a great job... Wish it could be integrated with almond or ring Edit: now it supports ifttt, I can't think of any better and more simple solution. It's one of those things that you forget you have, it's flawless so far
5 ★ ****EDIT** Since the firmware and app udate it works great. No force closes and the actual unit doesnt seem to crash anymore 5 STARS!**** First the IDIOTS that dont understand hardware (the garage door buddy) is required are just plain stupid... How the hell else can your smartphone interact with your garage door opener. Only issue I have is the app force closes the first time it launches then it works fine. Would also LOVE a widget. Other than that GREAT product for a GREAT value!!! Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5 ★ Received a GDB for Christmas. Installed the app then the hardware in less than 15 mins. It works great. Like another review mentioned, a widget would be nice but at this point I'm just thrilled I can dump my old clunky garage door openers. No more button mashing, holding the openers at strange angles out my window or replacing batteries.
5 ★ Works well. I am using it with REST API as a part of my home automation system.
5 ★ Easy install, works flawlessly. Wish it worked with Amazon Alexa though.
4 ★ Produce a widget then this will be perfect. Working great and very fast customer service. I had a question late Sunday and emailed them. Within minutes I got my answer. Keep up the great work. But please give us a widget.
5 ★ App does what's it's supposed to do. It is very simple to use. The setup is a bit different. So maybe the enhancements I am requesting are already, somehow, possible. First, I wish the password on the phone could be cached. I don't like to have to enter my password everytime the app decides it needs my password. So a "Remember password" option would be nice, if not essential. After all, the law might interpret my typing a password on my phone as texting to that device, and texting from a moving vehicle while driving is illegal in most, if not all, states. Second, having two buttons, one large, one small, it would be nice if I could label them, and the cherry on top would be that if only one garage door is connected, there would be only one button. Don't take me wrong. The app is good, but it should be better. That's why there is a star missing. They replied and told me how to do the first point so I'll give them their missing star. They also said that they are considering the second point. I will also ask that they make the monitoring of the door status available on the very same app (as well as a separate app if they want to).
5 ★ Latest update has fixed crashes and not finding the opener. Added functionality to allow multiple GDB's.
