Ghost racer
*Sensors support where available.
Bluetooth Low Energy requires Android 4.3 and up.
Ant+ requires a phone with the Ant+ capabilities or a Ant+ dongle / usb stick

Note there is an issue with the Sony Smartwatch 3 (sw3) where sweat can make the watch lose GPS signal. People have used sweatbands or other things under the watch to keep it away from sweat, resulting in much improved performance.

2 ★ I would like to just be able to select a previous run I've done and run against that, but this doesn't appear possible, which is a massive downside for me. I'd love to be corrected, but as far as I can tell, you can only import segments or created routes from Strava. Segments are too small for my route and I have a free version of Strava so I can't create routes. Outside of this, the UI is also pretty rough and non-intuitive. Could do with a re-design.

5 ★ Works great on my TWP3!

3 ★ I used this app for a couple of years and liked it so much I paid for it, but I now find I cannot add ghosts from Strava any more. Earlier in 2019, I found that it would not connect to my starred segments, and now I find it will not even connect to segment ids. I just get the revolving green arrow. This is on a Huawei P10 Lite that worked fine until mid 2019. Without new ghosts, the software is pretty much useless. The vert data off it is more accurate than the Strava app, that's about all. If the ability to add ghosts is restored, this is a five star app. Its Strava Live Segments for free, albeit against yourself.

5 ★ The ONLY app to not force you to use "standalone mode" on wearOS. Runtastic tries to do this, but ends up never switching to ambient mode, completely killing battery in 1 hour flat. IT's a very simple ask, very needed for those of us who have run for a long time (3hrs+), and this simple little app, does it. There's nothing fancy here, no crazy graphics (y do you need them?) no membership coaching thing...just free simple app that lets you use your wearOS watch as a 'second screen' for your runs.

4 ★ If I finish a run and forget to actually swipe away the statistics page, battery will drain to nothing over the next few hours. Presumably GPS is still turned on by the app at this time, or some other process is running away like crazy. Can you please stop whichever it is? There's no obvious indication that the stats page is still active - there is no ongoing notification, for instance. Otherwise very handy for sharing stats.

2 ★ I really like the app. It is the only one I've found that allows me to customize my Wear OS screens on my watch. Endomondo was great for this but doesn't support Wear OS for some odd reason. Two major issues tho, I'm using a Fossil Gen 5 watch and GhostRacer won't read my Heart Rate for some reason. All my other running apps DO read it, including Strava. The big selling point for Ghostracer is being able to customize the watch face so I can see my HR along with my pace and distance. Without HR this app will not help me. (Also not uploading to Strava for some reason.)

4 ★ Dear Author/Developer. I use the app (sony smartwatch 3, sometimes with or without a phone) with my cardiac belt and a cadence/speed sensors. Everything works fine (as you know). At the end of my (bike) ride I notice that the app does not save the data in a file. Shouldn't it do that? Please clarify. Thanks.

3 ★ Recorded activity on watch and it never made it to the app. Tried force syncing but no dice. Activity is just GONE. Useless. Edit: apparently it runs in standalone mode by default. Why?!?!? After switching to paired it works but I still lost my activity. Urgh.. Edit 2: after about 15 minutes my run suddenly showed up. Mind you I force synced multiple times at this point. Not sure what is happening.

4 ★ App seems like it has all the features I need to track my running. Started using it today but want to give it some time to decide whether to purchase premium version. One issue I noticed is that when I use it in standalone mode to track my run, my watch does not show the steps I did as part of my run as part of my daily total. Is there a setting I can change to make sure the steps from the run are included in my daily step count? This is an important feature for me.

3 ★ Updates: July 6: Strava sync working except route import. | June 22: Removed Strava link to try to repair the sync issues and can no longer re-connect to Strava. | June 21: Won't sync to Strava. |June 18: Importing Strava routes no longer working. Works great once you have figured it out. More features than most tracking apps. Sometimes Android Wear app has trouble syncing if I finish an activity in standalone mode before it has reconnected to the phone. Has caused me to loose some activities.

5 ★ The plain version appears to have a bug, as importing the same gpx segment twice (don’t ask 😁) results in a “Pro feature: Ghost limit reached” without the option to add/remove Ghosts anymore (no worries: restoring from a backup fixes it). That aside… Ghostracer is flawless (Strava API's oddities do not count)!

4 ★ I used today, to track my jog. The GPS is pretty accurate. Overall, it's reliable. However, the UI can be a little less circuitous when it comes to seeing the maps. I also wish there was Google Fit Integration.

3 ★ Essential for runners with a Sony smartwatch 3. october 2019 standalone mode no longer displays external heart rate (polar oh1) even though ghostracer finds and pairs with the bluetooth sensor. maybe the oh1 firmware update, although i noticed in the comments that other external sensors are reporting "0" too. help!!

5 ★ I got this app to replace runkeeper on my Fossil Sport, but I can't log in to link with my runkeeper account. When I select Google log in I get an error, "disallowed_useragent" I really want to try the app. Response: I tried that, runkeeper doesn't allow it. Also tried copying the URL of the authentication window into chrome, but that doesn't work either.

5 ★ Stopped working on my Sony SmartWatch 3. Is the support removed for this as well, or something else happened? Also, I cannot check in the app which version I have, would be nice to have it in the app. Edit: I reinstalled the app and it picked it up on the watch. As a fellow Android dev I understand the pain, so I updated the review to five stars. The version number is now visible on the watch, but still not in the app.
