1 ★ Terrible app for a supposedly quality sound system. But, having used Soundtouch since 2014, I shouldn't be surprised. It has never worked properly. It seems to have severe dementia when it comes to finding any of the speakers and then goes downhill from there.
3 ★ I think the app is cool but really wish it worked with tidal for a lossless experience. The design and consept is nice but i feel id be better with a dark mode like every other app. It shouldnt be hard to add and would make the app more visually appealing. But really though it needs to support more services to compete with sonos i mean its why doesnt it support tidal? Also chomecast support would be amazing since not everyone has an iphone with airplay.
3 ★ This app's functionalities work well but these are very limited. Being unable to play even simple things such as Netflix, Chromecast or YouTube puts this software a decade behind. I've been using Bose for almost 20 years and the sound is unparalleled but the software team needs to pick things up.
1 ★ Everytime there is an update thst supposedly improves things i can never listen to radio through the wifi. Error code 4501 keeps coming up & nothing on google to say what it means. Getting slightly tired of this Bose. 26-05-21 Back again.....power outage yesterday plus an app update & everything is connected to wifi but won't play radio, BT works but no radio stations. Everytime there is an update...Everytime! Poor service/quality etc Bose. 2 stars is now 1 star.
1 ★ The fact that I need premium Spotify to stream on a device I paid for is the most absurd thing I've heard when it comes to speakers. I don't care how good it sounds it's dishonest business. The UX sucks too, way to many hoops to setup. Not alot of thought was put in to it aside from the sound quality. 🖕
1 ★ Really poor app. Hard work to us and takes ages to find speakers. Often cuts out for no reason and it's ridiculous that you can't switch between users quickly. UPDATE 05/12/2020: Has now completely stopped working! UPDATE 11/02/2021: still shockingly poor! Cuts out all the time. Takes 10 minutes just to get it to recognise speakers. Playlists often come up with an error message. Really REALLY POOR! UPDATE 21/05/21: No sign of any improvement!
1 ★ I've had the soundtouch speaker for some time now and it's been great. However, this app is not. The speaker will not hold a connection to the WiFi router and the convoluted way of connecting through this app is ridiculous. How many customers have to point this out before Bose do anything. Very disappointing.
5 ★ Love it .....update to my original review: Boy was I naive. This thing has only gotten worse and worse. It's unusable. Reading all of these other reviews, I am anazed To find I am NOT alone. It never never never finds my speakers. Constantly rebooting,, resetting,, reinstalling. I have spent literally hours on the phone with customer support. Really miss the days when you could turn a knob and hear music. Bought a little $30 JBL Bluetooth that NEVER FAILS Me. sigh.
1 ★ This is the first time I have ever left a review on a app and the only reason I am doing it is because it is that atrocious. For a living I sell some of the most confusing SaaS products and it does not come close to how brutal this app is for connection issue/non stop updates. Love the sound quality of Bose and all of their sound product but with out a connection application with the speakers I am going to move over to Sonos.
5 ★ The program Took Forever 2 weeks to connect Wifi. Problem is not my wifi. and took days to update the internal software. Finally the bass module 500 Finally successfully connected to soundbar 300. The sound is great 👍. Drawback is it depends on Wifi for connections.
2 ★ App is slow, it keeps running saying searching for updates, takes time to connect to speaker. Also if i log out from one smartphone and login to other then also it takes time to get ready, sometimes proposes addition of speaker though not required
1 ★ Genuinely awful. Lots of mention on here of connectivity issues (check), but my personal fav is the fact that the radio bit (Tunein?) will not pick up any non-UK stations. Presumably that's a licensing issue? I mean, of course, whoever went on Internet radio for international stations? What a crazy idea.
2 ★ Sound quality is as what one would expect from Bose. The app has been a big ol pain in the butt. I've spent way too much time having to keep speakers (soundtouch 10) ready to use. Resetting, uninstalling/reinstalling app. Would not recommend purchase of system but would happily accept as a gift. After update 12/20, I now have to unplug and re set speakers each day. Uninstaller and reinstalled app. Speakers don't play after 'speaker ready' notice. App seems to get stuck and repeats.
2 ★ Your lucky day if you get connected. I have sound touch premier, 30 and 20. 80% of the time the apps can't find the speakers even if you're 4 feet away from the router and speaker. Also when connected there will be a time it will disconnect then reconnected after maybe 5 minutes again if it's your LUCKY DAY. I'm on Shaw FIBRE+GIG internet and using Asus GT-AC5300 Tri-band router. Bose engineers are great then hire a smart developers.
1 ★ The app really let's these speakers down. After spending over £2k on a home system, I'm continuously let down by the app. The speakers are awesome when they work. But can hardly ever connect to them through the app. Have fast broadband and no issues on any other device. Really disappointed after the money spent. Crazy part is this feedback is consistent and yet to see any improvement!
