DaTuner's display is easy to read
Nearest note and octave is displayed in a giant, easy to read font, and frequency in hertz plus error in cents is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Sensitivity is auto-adjusted, but can also be adjusted by touch via a bar on the left-hand side of the screen, and the speed/accuracy of the algorithm and the relative frequency can be adjusted via the configuration menu.
No Dead Zone
There is no "dead zone" with this tuner app as is the case with many other apps. Instead, the whole display turns green when the incoming frequency is within a configurable range of the target frequency and you can still see changes in pitch even in the "in-range" area. Both the "in-tune" range and the colors shown for sharp and flat can be configured.

3 ★ Its a good app when it works but sometimes it just seems to not want to hear a note I play on my kalimba even when I play a note right on top of my phone. The app is nice and easy to use but that problem is huge and extremely frustrating
5 ★ Perfect for tuning belts on a Markforged printer, which asks you to strum the belt and use an app to detect the tone frequency. Actually able to adjust the background threshold filer to get a reading from the relatively quiet belts. Nice!
5 ★ once you get used to it, it works really well. Like most phone tuners it's very sensitive, and again, you just have to get used to it. you're probably never going to get any string you tried to tune right on 0.0. if you can get it within three to five cents, then that's pretty much exactly in tune. it's better than guitartuna where unless you set pro accuracy, you're going to end up not quite in tune even if it says you are. Also, you don't have to pay extra to be in chromatic mode
1 ★ I downloaded this to see if it might be suitable for my students. It isn't very good. Guitartuna has simple clear features that make it much more usable. (and doesn't just do guitar) Touch the instrument picture string tuner to hear the correct note. Adjust your string to get close, then get accurate tuning with the meter. It also remembers what you did as strings tuned stay coloured. This product hasn't been thought through very carefully and isn't very useful. Premium price is quite high too.
1 ★ $41/year subscription for a tuner app? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!! Sure, it's a decent app - better than average in fact. It's modestly sensitive (good for acoustic instruments), decently responsive, precise enough and apparently accurate. Hey, great! Good stuff! But 41 bucks a year? You'd need to be insane to pay that when there are other apps as good or better for a reasonable price. (AiryWave, A-Tuner, Tuner TI, and the much-lamented PitchLab Pro all qualify). Unbelievable. I'm just shaking my head at the idea of spending half the price of an Amazon Prime subscription just to use a tuner.
3 ★ edit: got a refund, upgrading rating to 3 stars. I downloaded the app for one-time use and few days later i got billed equivalent of over 40$ (!!) for a year long subscription. This outright predatory or (given the benefit of the doubt, which i really dont feel like doing) supremly incompetent design.
5 ★ Apparently, no more "Pro." This version works fine without obnoxious ads, though. I still prefer the way DaTuner chromatic tuner displays in landscape or portrait. This tuner works and readily picks up sounds. Great for tuning guitar or helping to figure out key signatures or doing voice scales.
1 ★ 30 bucks a year for a GUITAR TUNER. THE only reason to download these types of tools is for convenience. You could get in a car, go to the next town, buy a tuner, get lunch, and still soend less. This may be the most ridiculous app pricing I have EVER seen. LAUGHABLE
2 ★ older version's was so perfect, But every new update from last year has made the performance of the program worse, and while the program has a lot of ads, it is very annoying, and the program is hard to come up with.
1 ★ After the update, the app took away the key feature that makes it stand out from others. Being able to see which note you are at, instead of showing how far away you are from the limited amount of presets they have. Not using the app anymore.
5 ★ It's my favourite tuner app for guitar so far. have used other apps and this one is my favourite. Although sometimes it can get very messed up because when I'm tuning it seems to be confused on what string I'm using(auto). But it still works fine :)
1 ★ The tuner itself is good enough. The notification spam that this app produces isn't though. "You haven't tuned for a while now!" -- pf... Just go to hell! Do not recommend.
1 ★ Super loud autoplaying ads right when you start the app. No good for gigs or any situation where you don't want to disturb/scare yourself and others around you.
1 ★ So I tried this app out. Selected 6-string guitar but no where can I figure out what the number by the letter represents. It says E2 and then as I change the tuning it might go to E4...but what does the number mean? I have no idea how it is in relation to A-440 and whether the string is the first or the sixth because that never shows up. The app might be great but your help is non existant as far as I can tell. The sample video showing how to use it just confused me more. It was just showing a moving interface and no context. I am so disappointed. Especially since I paid for it.
1 ★ You took one of the finest tuners out there and turned into a subscription mess. I previously paid for pro and have now had to find an .APK to install on my new phone as the option had disappeared. I REFUSE to subscribe. This is a poor business model
