1 ★ Never works... It's really that simple. 99% of the time the app can't find the FOB when when it's right next to my phone. Pressing the button on the FOB, it can NEVER EVER EVER find the phone... Once the phone is found, open the app and magically it works. I made sure the app had the right permissions per their support and nothing works more than a day. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this brand. Their app can not maintain communication with their FOB.
1 ★ Works great, only problem is that when you exit the app, the device added gets deleted and has to be manually added again. Update - downgraded to 1 star. Best plan on losing something attached to a cube before the batt runs out..like maybe within a month. After that..which is usually when u need it the most, you're hosed. It'll say 'near!' then after hitting the ring button it'll say 'out of range'
1 ★ I liked the tracker and app - when it works. Seems like some updates break the app-tracker connection. Eventually after awhile, it works again. Recently replaced my battery. Didn't realize this was the same as a reset of the tracker. Removed it from the app and went to add it, but now when I tap the add icon on the upper right, it makes a sound so I know I tapped on it, but then nothing. I don't need this all the time, but seems like so often when I do, it's not working, so I spend time looking for my keys or my phone. And shouldn't a battery replacement be just that and not something that the user has to remove and re-add a tracker again? Getting frustrated with Cube and thinking of going to Tile. My device is a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
3 ★ I've had this for over a year, and use it on the harness for my one cat who thinks her territory is a quarter mile in every direction. Super helpful in tracking her down. The last couple months the app crashes fairly often, and is very slow to update when I'm close enough for it to register. I've stood right next to her and the app can't see the cube for a minute or more. Never had this problem before. Hoping the developers fix this soon.
3 ★ Hesitantly Optimistic. The app seems to work well, though it does ask for A Lot of permissions that you can't take back even through the Google play store. Like access to your camera, location, photos etc. And I see the need for them, but I would like that need to be when I want it to be, not able to track my every move and photo without chosing when I can take it off. Other than that it works as expected. Hopefully I find a way around that other stuff.
1 ★ It works! Aaaand, not really. I really REALLY wanted to like this thing and when I first hooked it up it really was cool and ITllit had great range, but then it just stopped connecting to Bluetooth. Did all the usual app uninstalling and reinstalling and starting as a new device -all the usual stuff - been there done that. Nada. Will not connect. Will not hold a connection. Cat got out and it wasn't working again so going back to the cheap little orange one that worked perfectly for years.
3 ★ Seems to work about 30-40% of the time. I've used the same tracker with two different Android phones over the course of 18 months. I replace the battery every 6 months, even though the advertised lifespan is 12. More than once, while demonstrating the functionality of the tracker to people, my phone has failed to locate the tracker while sitting next to it. Getting the tracker working again requires completely deleting it from the app, removing the battery briefly, and adding the tracker again.
5 ★ I do like this better than the Tile because the proximity censor responds quickly, and there is no monthly fee which I thought was a rip off. I am happy to see that they have invested because this is the best I've used of all of the Bluetooth tracking apps, and I have used three or four now. I should mention I use it on my dog and he likes to get wet. If I could change something: the app needs a disconnection toggle (on/off) on the main screen, not three menus deep. That's my only gripe.
5 ★ I love Cube Tracker!!!! The Cube tracker and app are absolutely amazing. I could not live without them. I have literally spent hours looking for my cell phone or my keys... But with the cube I can find either one in seconds. I recommend Cube to anyone who needs to keep track of anything that you don't want to lose - a pet, keys, cell phone, their marbles (ha ha). This app is a time saver, more like a lifesaver!!!!!
3 ★ Have to leave the app OFF most of the time. I use it mostly to figure out where I last left my cane. But if the cane is on its hook in room A and I walk 20 steps into room B -- within my own apartment -- both the app and the cane start sounding off. I guess the BLE signal is too weak. So it's not the always-on solution I was hoping for. Not ideal as I'm going to get a Chromebook next week & want to use a tracker on it as well. Canes are cheap, Chromebooks are not. 72 year old memory sucks.
1 ★ One star since it is possible to get this to work. Problem is, practically it's not a feasible solution to any problem. The service does not start when the phone does. When you start it manually, it randomly shuts down despite all the necessary options set correctly ( background usage on, battery optimization off, etc.) Customer support told me they don't have any solution, except a workaround to restart the phone. Other apps run in the background no problem, so not sure why it's an issue here
4 ★ So far so good. I have several Tiles and love that product but wanted to see how this one compared. The app isn't super clear on a couple of features.. like how to shut the alarm off when item is found, or how to find your phone with the cube. But I'm only still just starting so for now I give it four stars and if it gets better I hope to come back and raise it to five! For me cubes and tiles have changed my life, constantly lost everything and now can locate things relatively quickly.
2 ★ Not yet compatible with Note 9 Verizon even though it's been our for many months. Map works but not super accurate enough to find the cube, Bluetooth slow to connect, easy to miss. No way to force the cube to alarm when within BT range. Both WiFi safe zone & also smart notification doesn't work, will never alert when turned on.. Better to leave off. Will only alert if out of Bluetooth range if safe zone & smart notification both turned off. The hardware is great! Very thin, magnetic charge
3 ★ App needs some work. Real time monitoring is not very real time but better than most I've tried. The most annoying thing is that I get a notification on my phone that the tracker is in close proximity. You can set this notification for up to 5 minutes, but I don't need it at all and they're is no way to just turn it off. Even an option for 1 hour would be better. That feature is unnecessary unless the dog isn't in close proximity.
4 ★ 5/16/23 Wow! It works like it should. I've had this device for years & it was great at 1st then hadn't worked correctly since but today I actually found the tracker. Bump CUBE up a few stars. 2/23/2023 I decided to update the app & I ended up having to login like I was a new user verifying via email, pair with cubes again, & name them. It's annoying that the update just forgets your info. It also doesn't always track my devices when I need to find them.
