5 ★ Is very simple
2 ★ This text editor has a bug that is widespread on Android: it can't deal well with UTF-16 files! It treats the BOM as a character, so inserting text at the beginning of the file pushes it forward. Opening a UTF-16 without BOM makes the program mix up 8 bit chars with the 16 bit ones of the file.
5 ★ Striaght forward text editor. Using on Galaxy Tab 4 10. This app does allow the creation of new files. It is in the menu under new.
1 ★ There is NO option to create a new txt document!!! ONLY option is to open an existing txt document!!! ALL txt editors on the Android market suck and DON'T allow new documents to be created!!!!!

1 ★ I was typing something up and switched to look something up in a browser. I came back to the text editor and it had closed the document and there was no way to retrieve my changes. Not losing my documents is sort of a critical feature.
