Description
Very light, fast and simple.
- No login is needed
- There will be no uploads to any servers
- You can share the data as a simple text or file and re-import it again in another phone, so cousins can work together on building a big family tree
- You can share the tree as an image, so it can be printed or published
This app supports only it's own file format for import/export and nothing else!
The app does not care about marriages, as people may have children and not been married. A child can not have more than 1 biological mother/father. This is a simple app, that only follows the blood line. Any special cases (like adopted child) can only be explained in the Notes.
How to use this app:
Tap on the big plus to add the first person.
Tap on a person's name to edit, delete, move, add a parent or add a child of this person.
Any person can be moved left and right, if not linked to anyone - also up and down.
To make room use 2 fingers and slide them away from one another (pinch out). Horizontal pinch will make the tree wider. Vertical pinch will make it taller.
Then slide left(or up) with 1 finger to see the right(or bottom) side of the tree.
Your data will not be uploaded anywhere. The data will only be accessible by you or whoever you choose to share it with.
Share options:
• Share image - will make a picture of the tree, that can then be printed.
• Export data - all information about the people, that can then be imported.
On every import, a backup of the current data will be created.
Any date can be replaced by custom text.
To change the font size - tap on the 3 dots (•••), then on "Settings" and on the top option "Text size", then use the slider to make the names bigger or smaller.
If you do not remember the exact date for someone, you can enter a custom text instead. This text can be as vague as you wish, for example: "The spring of 1953", or "Early Sixties".
Make sure to update the app to the latest version, before importing data!
You can have more than one family tree. To switch the tree, tap on the "Clear current tree" from the Menu. Enter your new tree information. Then from "Backups" you can switch between the trees.
By default the name of the backup ends with the number of people in this backup.
Start your tree with one of the youngest in the family. This way building the tree will be easy and feel natural.
Make a good looking tree by:
• Moving everyone's mother and father next to each other
• Moving siblings next to each other
• Decrease the font size
• Hide the second and third names from the Settings - will make the tree clean and simple
• Use "Fix tree look" - will move most people closer to their parents

3 ★ best app so far, but.... how come i can't add siblings, and can't add a spouse??? these two relations would make making the tree that much easier!!! lastly, what is the point if i can't zoom in and out to see the ever expanding tree?!
4 ★ Very handy app, but please please please add a save button! I've had to re-enter a COLOSSAL amount of information many times, after app or phone crashes, as automatic backups were only sporadically created.
4 ★ the app is excellent. However, when I click on share to generate an image the app goes straight to pdf converter and does not let me choose how to share (if by image, email, etc).
3 ★ Not bad for a family tree building app, but you cannot add partners unless you've added their child first. Not every couple has a child, which can be problematic.
5 ★ Very simple, clean app that gets the job done. Took a few minutes to figure out how to transfer my tree from my old phone to my new one, but I did manage. Would like the option to add photos. All in all, the app does what it says, and I like that.
5 ★ To Restore particular page for Editing etc is not proper, how to Restore back up. IN fact if we cannot Restore, entire page has to be written again. The written pages when we share to fb or scanner WhatsApp, drive etc you should have facility to post again to this app, for Editing etc
2 ★ Missing basic family tree options. Can't directly add siblings or spouses. And it gives you an error if you try to add a same-sex couple so no one with two dads or moms can build a family tree.
3 ★ The UI could use a little work adding the second parent when you create a child from a parent took a moment to figure out. Does what it says on the tin though.
3 ★ current opinion is 3 stars. can't consolidate lines for a family ie a famiky with two chikdren will show multiple red and blue connectibg lines which doesn't show a neat representatin of the famiky tree. will change ratibg if there's a feature to consolidate family members.
3 ★ Does not have option for blended families and the layout options are all very poorly made. They cross over when they shouldn't. Makes tree look sloppy
3 ★ Really the only thing I like about this app is the fact that you can see every member at once. I am aware that this app is just for bloodlines, but that just isn't for me.
2 ★ It's very simple... too simple. All it is is child and parent. That's it. You can't add a sibling without a parent. You can't add a spouse if they don't have children. Very disappointed.
5 ★ Excelent app I love it, I would like to see it more advanced or with more features, really useful for someone like me. Keep it up!
1 ★ was doing great until "watch ads to add a child/spouse/parent" dont bother unless you have a very small family.
5 ★ Great app! Fantastic way to keep track of creatures in a game of mine. Way more helpful than expected.
