3 ★ I am using the DTEK app on my BlackBerry PRIV, and I'd like to report a bug. I'm using a password for my screen lock. This is recognized properly by the DTEK app, and I get an all-green excellent rating. However, once I enable the "Picture Password" feature (on top of the character password), DTEK decreases my security rating a bit, showing the following yellow recommendation: "Data encryption: Data on your device is encrypted, but secure start-up is turned off". The phone does still ask for the password to be typed in before it will start, so I think this is a false warning. Can you please fix it?
3 ★ Getting notification that applications are not using permissions when they clearly are, such as contacts in contacts and location in maps and contact in hub. There are clearly used but not reported and the permissions can not be turned off. Other users report the same thing. Please comment or fix. Security software that appears to malfunction is worrisome
5 ★ Supeiror app like BB10 was for its time. Typed from my Priv, waiting a Priv 2 with 4:3 ratio since android may not allow 1:1.. as wide as possible is more sensible then 16:9 its the only thing Apple ever did correct was its 4:3 ratio. Hoping for a Passport SE like device by TCL and BBRY softwate special features and security. High end... #WorkWide ...Release to the masses, get it into the main carriers in the states where most folks are afraid to purchase a phone online for 'some odd reason....
4 ★ 10/2:updated version recognized k2 hardware. I like the ability to see app permissions and get notifications of app activity. I hope dtek reliably works in the future. This h/w problem seems to have bit BB devices before. Out of the box from BlackBerry this pre-installed software fails to recognize Key2 hardware. Would uninstall if that were possible.
1 ★ this app tells me that i dont have passwords and Google security updates. But so what? Who cares about security when Google forces BB to make an updates that makes my phone run at a snails pace since Mar 2019 update. Contacts is 200% slower. SMS messages do not open in BB Hub. Search in BB Hub does not search anymore!! i would give a zero star but they dont have it.
2 ★ I have a BlackBerry Key2 dual SIM and since I opened it from box dtek doesn't recognize neither my device or the OS. My wife has the Key2 regular SIM and dtek doesn't work either. We have less than a month since we bought and not even the last update fixed the problem. Same problem the Dtek 50 and 60 models had. Don't know what to do anymore. We are very frustrated
4 ★ Since the latest update it's working well. The only niggle is that it's still telling me that the apps I download from the google playstore are not being scanned for malicious software when they actually are. Other than that it's now an excellent app. Well done!
2 ★ The only comprehensive and most annoying privacy and security guard app for Android. Worse than a spamming trojan. A must have. But it's screwed up as it's a chaos to configure and it fires hundreds of alerts on everything. Not intelligent, it's like a very primitive firewall. It also alerts for the BlackBerry HUB accessing basic things... or the built in Google voice assistance standby microphone etc. It's dev's abandoned it after the beta phase and forgot to properly configure it!
1 ★ was good until the update on the priv. Now says i may not be using a blackberry device and integrity are marked yellow. (not bad for a $800 device, right? lol) its the newest update and i followed the directions below to fix it, (airplane, reset, check dtek etc) still the same readings, been almost 6 days. Needs to be fixed. UPDATE :JAN 24, Still reads the same thing. what a POS app
1 ★ I want to uninstall this - I cannot uninstall this - it keeps opening itself and "monitoring" things without me telling it to do anything
2 ★ Cannot sign in BlackBerry Mobile account in order to use the 'factory reset protections' and 'remote management' function. Keeps getting 'incorrect phone number format' error. No option to sign up using emails address or through desktop either.
5 ★ 5 star for the brekthrough. this is the only app that offers the permission blocking built into the system. Still hope to see more imrovements. any plans to increase the permission. locking list like Storage access? Iternet access? Overlay screen? Accounts on device?
3 ★ This app uses so much of my battery power, up to 25% at any given time, I've had to uninstall it. However, you can't completely remove the app. It remains on the phone in some form even after it's uninstalled.
3 ★ It's okay I guess. Keeps reporting unused permissions on my contacts and SMS when both are used on a regular basis each day. Not sure just how reliable DTEK is when it consistently keeps misreporting this nonexistent issue.
4 ★ Top end device (dual sim version). DTEK does not recognise my device as a Blackberry device. Tried the Airplane mode and restart trick... no luck. Please fix ASAP. Thanks. (PS. That why 4 stars only)
