AutoMate - Car Dashboard: Driving & Navigation 2.3.2-minApi21 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Allows an application to call killBackgroundProcesses(String].

Allows an application to know what content is playing and control its playback.

Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.

Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to read the user's calendar data.

Must be required by an AccessibilityService, to ensure that only the system can bind to it.

Allows an application to read or write the system settings.

Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.

1 ★ Freezes and crashes and couldn't find a place to chnage temperature units. Waze is not loading in app even when I selected it to be default! Have to click and leave the app tonopen waze independently. Awesome idea but buggy (Pixel4a). Maybe later.

2 ★ Last updated 14 months ago!!! is this DEAD? There is a lot to like... But it is sucking my battery power 15.9% used only 4 minutes active time and 13 hours in background... Very bad! Also the app for some reason does not recognise itself as the default Auto mode home screen so when you press the home button it does not go back to automate. I have also noticed the road name display being inaccurate. I like the bubble overlay on maps, so you can toggle between maps and your music easily. Also does not unlock the screen and open automatically.

1 ★ Paid for all the add-ons. GPS speed is all over the place. Speed limit just doesn't work. Never shows correct street. Just not worth it

2 ★ this used to be a very good app, however, recently when I try to reply to any messages received it will not take the reply or send messages.

5 ★ This App Is AMAZING, it works PERFECTLY! WHY DO I LOVE THIS APP YOU ASK? BECAUSE WHEN I START MY CAR , THE APP AUTO LOADS, OPENS ALL APPLICABLE APPS IN THE BACKGROUND THAT I DEEM IMPORTANT, AND HAS ALL THE NOTIFICATIONS AND INFO RIGHT IN ONE PERFECT SPOT. I wasted no time upgrading to the "Pro" Version due to layout/functionality of the app being HIGHLY intuitive and easy to use but not "basic." THEN, pair that w/ the plethora of tweaks the app ALLOWS = A BETTER VERSION OF ANDROID AUTO... 🤔 😬

5 ★ This is the best driving app I've found, I'm just struggling with voice commanding back and forth between apps. It gets confused after a couple of times. Sometimes I exit, asking google to put Alexa on because they each have abilities that the other one doesn't. It would be groundbreaking if you could find a way to put both Alexa and Google assistant side by side on the AutoMate home page, ready and listening the whole time it's open. I'd never need to exit and it'd run flawlessly for me.

4 ★ Its a great app for my car use, though I purchased the feature of speed cameras alarm it worked for a while now this alarm is not functioning anymore. Is there a setting which has to be adjusted please? P.S. I managed to restore my premium feature for speed camera alerts...the battery settings of the smart phone must be set to a higher optimal setting Not as a battery saving usage!!

2 ★ To be clear, this app does not interface to your cars head unit running android auto. It would be nice if it did because AA is a train wreck and alternatives are needed.

5 ★ Great app! Only point of critique is the bad quality direction arrows for the navigation tile in the home screen. Easily fixable tho, so please do! Thank you guys for a good working app!

1 ★ Decent app but has the annoying tendency to lower the bluetooth volume by about 50% on any of my music apps when I access them through the launcher. Almost like a notification is coming through but the volume never returns to normal until both apps are closed and reopened. Fix this and I may actually pony up for the premium version. Update: No change. I upgraded my phone to the Pixel 4a and installed AutoMate to see how it would run on the latest Android and it's actually worse. The app runs in the background constantly now sucking up battery. And features that were previously available for free are now part of premium (that should NEVER happen unless those feature were greatly reworked and improved). Changing my rating to 1 star. Time to find another car dock app.

2 ★ Is anyone fixing the bugs on this app? 1. Navigation is not working properly. Location doesnt work, camera warnings dont work, screams out the wrong speed limit while driving on hwy. Map appears to move sometimes. Most times its frozen on one spot. 2. Almost every screen seems to be more complicated than needed. User friendliness is quite low. 3. Voice used for warnings tho it works randomly is too robotish and wheres the fun in that. I'm using a samsung Note 8

2 ★ Needs better integration with other apps to make it more hands-free. When i use Waze, the windows swaps and Automate runs in background. Felt like im forced to use the default navigation app to stick with AutoMate open. Also voice alerts needs to be fixed becouse it spells portuguese and english mixed. Im looking forward to updates. For now, im sticking with Android Auto.

1 ★ this app looks like need a major update.the built in maps are full of bugs , not working. the other maps are not integrated into the app so whats the use if either I use the map or the app.calls are the same , when you call someone, the screen change to the mobile call screen so they are not integrated . simply, this app looks like never updated. not sure and how it got more than 4 stars . uninstalled and back to Google auto app

1 ★ Getting "not responding" app freezes on an Asus Z8, but I'm sure the dev can squash the bugs. Google doesn't allow updates to Android Auto through the Play store even when sideloaded on unofficially supported devices. I'm liking Automate better than AA anyway, and I'm excited to see further development.// update- never fixed. Useless.
