Description
The Bicycle Maintenance Guide app is unique and differs to other content found online, such as YouTube and Parktool, because the majority of the apps content can be found and accessed with no internet connection. This means you can use the app to help repair your bike even when you're out in the sticks with no internet connection, to get you home or to your local bike shop.
The app is the most expansive bicycle repair guide available with over 100 sections, 60 professionally filmed videos containing over 7.5 hours of footage, 180+ high resolution images and over 50,000 words.
The Bicycle Maintenance Guide app is a complete guide to bicycle repairs, shown and instructed by two world class bike mechanics - Mike Rawson and Chuck Buckley.
Mike is a Senior Service Technician at a top end bicycle company and was a Team GB Mechanic for 7 years, where he covered the Olympic Games, World Championships and European Cycling Tours.
Chuck was a Head Mechanic of a UK professional cycling team for a long period before returning to NZ where he now owns and runs a bike shop.
The app is broken up into 5 areas, these are:-
REPAIRS
• Exclusive access to our private YouTube channel featuring 60 professionally shot HD video tutorials. These videos are not available on-line without this app.
• Each video tutorial is backed up with a list of tools required and fully presented step by step instructions with hi-resolution photographs.
• Comprehensive written tutorials backed up with high quality imagery to illustrate how to perform your own repairs
AT THE ROADSIDE
• An additional 8 video tutorials which can be viewed in an emergency whilst out riding.
• A unique feature with ‘get out of jail’ tricks that will get the rider home after a major breakdown at the roadside. One video shows how to use a £5 note to repair a torn tyre.
• Each of these videos also backed up with a list of tools required and fully presented step by step instructions with hi-resolution photographs.
COMPONENTS
• Annotated and clearly labelled hi-resolution photographs of each component on a bicycle. By fully explaining what each part does, the user will have a fuller understanding of the components, giving them the confidence to adjust and maintain that part.

5 ★ After getting back into cycling I downloaded the app to help with some basic maintenance for a road bike in need of some TLC. I was expecting the app to give me a little more info than what I already knew, however it had much more than I anticipated. The written instructions were precise, clear and easy to follow accompanied by a video that painted the picture. It has everything you need to conduct more than just basic maintanance. The App is a steal at the price, a must app for riders 👍🏻
5 ★ Great app, I'm a bike mechanic and i think this app is superb, I wish I have found earlier. A $3.99 is nothing for the quality and the content they offer. I know YouTube has lots of video about bike maintenance but this one is super convenient and right on the spot, you don't have to browse through tens of videos to find what you want ! With this app everything right there within 10s at your fingertips.
5 ★ Fantastic application, intuitive to navigate and contains everything you need in one compact package. Contains everything you need plus more for doing maintenance on a bike and has videos for each component where applicable. Ian was also super helpful with a query I had and responded in a timely manner. In short I would highly recommend.

5 ★ EDIT Ian was brilliant. Issue was sorted within about 24 hours. Make sure your app launch settings are sorted in YouTube and you'll be grand. Thanks Ian. Can you fix the video links please? Bought the app for the obvious - help for fixes and maintenance but the videos are not working at all. Trying to follow the written instructions without the visuals is really hard for a relative novice so it's not very useful. I'm sure it'll be great with the vids so I hope they get fixed soon.
5 ★ My bike went into crash mode today, Whilst out on a ride. With the help from friends I managed to reset it, but the gears was all over the place afterwards. I had no idea how to adjust Di2 gears, but with more then a little help from this great app, I had it sorted in no time. This is just one of many times this app as help me👍👍
3 ★ Just not for me I downloaded this app through a mountain bike page in Hope's that it would help with the process of repairs looking in 1 place but it just doesn't do it for me. I find the videos very bland, lacking context and using a bike that's not broke to fix a problem really doesn't show how to do it on an actual broken bike. Certain parts of processes are skipped and there is only 2 real camera angles, it's a great idea but the app doesnt offer enough for me to justify paying for it.
