Bernafon EasyControl-A 2.5.0.10268 APK requires following permissions:

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.

Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

1 ★ the find my hearing aid locater is worse than useless ..... my lost hearing aid was less than 1 metre away from my phone and 4 hours later it is still looking for it. the app is not able to revert to the home screen once its in the locater mode. i uninstalled it and will try again when i see my hearing aid clinic. where is the minus stars button located ........ is it near my found hearing aid.

1 ★ Awful app, cannot pair, again. Was ok until the latest update Nov 2020. Not a responsive company, don't care.

1 ★ After shutting off hearing aids for the night the phone will not find them when I turn them on next morning. Have to uninstall app an download again. Will only connect first time I try to connect them.

1 ★ Terrible, old one worked. Two much time wasted trying to make and maintaining connection. Deleting and reinstalling app doesn't help. Finally removed...months later retired, same results.

1 ★ We constantly had issues with the app not finding the hearing aids. After two frustrating years we purchased a Samsung tab A and everything finally worked. Less than two months later a revised version of the app was pushed. Now we can't even use the new Tab A to connect. We contacted Bernifone by email and followed their instructions to the letter. No fix. So far all they have done is add a message to the download that the app may not work correctly with the device.

1 ★ The idea is OK but the app is TOTALLY WORTHLESS. The Costco rep installed it and showed me how it works; but when I got home, instructions told me to restart the hearing aids. I did that several times and left the hearing aids on top of and at the sides of my phone, but they were never recognized. I un-installed and re-installed the app but got the same useless results.

1 ★ This app worked fine until the new version. Now, I have to reboot my Samsung Galaxy S9 every day so it can find my hearing aids. It also frequently gives me "low battery" warnings, hours or days before the hearing aids actually run out of power. I wasted many batteries before discovering this. I have Zerena miniRITE 9 aids, and they are wonderful, but this app is barely functional. Bernafon seems to be entirely focused on iPhones, and does not care about the Android customer. If I had realized this, I would have purchased a different brand of hearing aids.

1 ★ Today connection achieved. unconnection 3 minutes later. utter frustration. the hearing aids are exc. the app sucks. Sorry, that's my experience. App connects with hearing aids for a while then disconnects. I usually must uninstall it and reinstall to get a connection. Turning off the aids simply doesn't work. Sadly, because having a means to tweak the aids, on my phone, is a great idea.

2 ★ When it works, this app is fine. But I cannot get it to connect to my Zerena 9 hearing aids for more than a day. Just this morning I uninstalled and then reinstalled it to get a connection to my hearing aids. I went to check the battery level just now and it will not connect to them. This happens all the time. I have to uninstall and reinstall it to get a connection. Is there any way for the developer to make this app more reliable? After all the money we pay for hearing aids, you'd think we could get reliable phone apps.

1 ★ I have to restart my phone every day just to connect. The phone frequently drops the connection and closing/opening the app or turning off/on the hearing aids isn't enough to re-sync. Restarting phone is the only way. The previous version was far more reliable.

1 ★ I am running Android Oreo 8.0.0 on a Samsung Galaxy J7 2nd Gen. This app seemed to control the hearing aid volume fine. HOWEVER, the app caused the main function action of the phone (phone calls) to NOT function. An inbound call would ring once then there was no sound or no call there. Same for outgoing calls. The app was uninstalled but the problem continued until the phone was rebooted.

5 ★ I recently lost one of my hearing aids due to constantly removing my mask for covid 19. I had given up on finding it when I remembered this app had the "Find my hearing aid" feature. I tried it and it was located for me a few kilometers away. It even showed me where it was in the parking lot. Amazingly I was able to recover the missing hearing aid undamaged. Just wish the same features were available in android that are available for apple phones.

3 ★ This app since update has not connected as well as previous. I'm in COVID lock down and I noted it wasn't finding LH aid of a morning (RH was okay), checked battery etc. I was ready to get LH aid serviced. Then after I closing the app and restarting it, it found both aids and is okay. It is 7 am here and I just enabled both aids and it connected okay. Since update I have had to fiddle on a number of occasions and restart phone. Satisfactory connection is a cornerstone of this product - it MUST work, and work well!

3 ★ Would be better to have the battery levels on the main default screen, also I have seen another app that shows statical information about the noise levels experienced throughout the day and the ability to adjust the dinamics of the sound reproduction to suit different environments which would be extremely useful to me.

3 ★ it is difficult to appreciate that no connectivity to an android smart phones audio features are supported. It is understood that the android interface labours under disadvantages not suffered by the iphone os . it is a major factor in the purchase whether i can connect my hearing device to other devices with a blue tooth facility and accessible operating interface. Certainly telefonie and music playback should be a standard feature of the app s development.
