Find hikes or ski tours that suit you
The bergfex tours app contains around 200,000 hiking trails, ski tours, running routes and mountain bike trails throughout Europe. Detailed tour descriptions, topographic hiking maps for the entire Alpine region and filter options make it easy to find the ideal tour.
Tour planner and hiking navigation
You haven't found the perfect hiking or ski tour yet? Then use the bergfex tour planner. In just a few steps you can create your personal hike and let it navigate you to the summit. The precise GPS hiking navigator won't let you down even in the mountains.
Detailed maps
Our maps for the entire European Alpine region come from OpenStreetMap (OSM). This means that when planning your route and while hiking, you can be sure that you will find the right route thanks to regularly updated maps.
Tracking hiking routes and trails
Track the distance covered while hiking, ski touring, running or mountain biking and get comprehensive statistics such as duration, altitude metres, elevation profile, distance and speed. A heat map shows you all the activities you have recorded so far.
Route and fitness tracking combined
Keep track of your fitness level and activities! Optionally, you can wear a Bluetooth heart rate monitor while hiking, ski touring or other sports to get even more detailed information about your fitness level.
Garmin Connect, websync and GPX-import
Your hikes and planned tours are automatically synchronised with your bergfex account. Tracked activities are also displayed in Garmin Connect and Polar Flow. Self-created routes can be exported and imported via GPX file.

5 ★ Nice app! I used the free version for two years and then bought the pro version. Good value for money. When I had a problem (the app didn't record the track anymore), I sent a mail to Bergfex and I was promptly helped. Turned out, that de default settings in the newly installed Android version had caused my problem. Great help, much appreciated :-) !!
3 ★ I paid for this application and there is a huge need for improving the user surface. Whenever I switch to another application it stops tracking or sometimes it even loses the route and it's hard to track it back again. Sometimes it works without a flaw, but if you need to make changes on your pre-planned route because of circumstances it confuses the app. I would love to have more straightforward functions and not s confusing route planning, easier saving of routes and better and more buttons.
4 ★ I use the App for a year or two PRO version. I love the app, would give 5 stars, but lately there is a problem with location, it takes a lot of time to pin point where i am. Also it would be better to improve the stability of the App and dont fill it with unessesary functions. Also make more Tours for slovenia if possible. Overall i Love the App, nice Job!!
5 ★ I have tried many others, but still this is the best for me. I use it for navigation in the forest seamlessly , so if you need a navigator with a detailed map, you should go no further. I have subscribed for pro, because I needed the off-line map option, which is essential in some areas. Again, the map not only good, but the best of all have seen. The Web site is not so worked out, but the program on the phone is worth it.
3 ★ I really liked this app but all the recent updates frustrate me. Here's why: - I used to be able to move the dot on the map and place it somewhere else. Doing this I could immediately see how it would route me, that was so good. This seems not possible anymore. - when I choose cycling and safe my route it changes it to hiking and I cannot change this anywhere. I can also not name it myself as it just picks a road name. - it seems to lead me on a lot of highway like roads which is frustrating.
2 ★ Very buggy off late! Screen gets stuck and app becomes unresponsive. Everytime another app is opened, it automatically closes! Also when the app is still on and the screen gets locked automatically. Please fix these issues. Also on the website, you removed the access to the full map. That sucks even more!
2 ★ Unfortunately not running stable. Tracking stops for no obvious reason. Sometimes you are notified that tracking stopped, and asked whether you would like to continue tracking. But clicking Yes doesn't actually continue the tracking either. Very strange, and annoying. App is listed among those that shall not stop for battery saving. I'm using it on an S9+.
5 ★ The data is amazing. I had a small issue with speed but I understood that it arises when I have the developer setting "Don't keep activities" activated. It is not relevant for most users and I updated my review accordingly.
5 ★ I had used this on hikes in Austria and I found it to be very reliable. It also works very well and very accurately in Canada where I live. So much better than Google etc for off-trail areas. No annoying ads. I have now used it in Australia with very accurate results.
3 ★ Installed recently so not able to give a detailed review, but was surprised with the widespread missing English translations throughout the app. On the positive side, there is support for Bluetooth heart rate sensors, although I need to test this functionality.
2 ★ The app resets the time & date of an activity when I edit it. It sets it back to a year 2000, meaning it is lost in statistics. You cannot change the time manually, as far as I can tell. Else, the app is nice.
4 ★ This app is very good for tracking your trip. it also does a good job of finding a route past the chosen waypoints, but that route is forgotten if there is no coverage... quite likely when hiking in the mountains.
3 ★ Could not create account, first got a message: invalid password, then I tried it with a different password and got the message that an account under that name already exsisted. 🤨 After my remarks above the maker reacted promptly and set things straight. Well done! 👍 I will hit the snow in a few days and see if I like it for that.
5 ★ Great app, plenty of routes, great features to see by area, distance, activity etc. A filter I would love to see added would be round trips (Rundreise), as I love doing that whenever possible, not to walk/ride backe the same way :) but else, top!
2 ★ It's really unbelievable that in an application for hiking there is no data of the current altitude! Font on the map is far too small - almost unreadable. And for such an application you have to pay 12 € per year!
