BenchApp - Sports Team Manager 3.1.15 APK requires following permissions:

Allows an app to access approximate location.

4 ★ Update: been using for a few years and no issues. Pretty good app for game schedules, checking in etc. My issue is my chatter feature just stopped working. Can no longer open it and see the team messages. Have reached out to BenchAp and never heard back.

4 ★ Good, but not great. If you have a couple leagues with a couple seasons it gets a bit clumsy to navigate between them. A unified calendar or games list would be amazing. Allow color coding of each league/team you play for and then give the option to see all games in a combined view. New chat is pretty meh. Hard to see multiple posts at once. Otherwise, pretty straightforward app. It gets the job done but has some room for improvements to make it a definite 5 star app.

4 ★ In general, this app works very well. the biggest annoyance I have is the scrolling in line-ups and batting order screens. You can only scroll by placing your finger on the outer right-hand side. If you swipe anywhere else, it drags the players with your finger, messing up the line-up. I'm continually messing up my lists.

4 ★ Awesome App. One of the few apps that allow you to set a roster limit, as well as have a spare list. Also lets you set positions. Used to use Rosterbot which had these features but is no longer active. This app is much better. Wish BenchApp was cheaper. Too expensive for our small ball hockey group and more expensive than Teamsnap. BenchApp loses a point for this reason alone.

3 ★ Ordinarily, it's pretty good but the latest update produces an overlay that asks if you want to upgrade. It takes up the whole screen and doesn't automatically resize or let you scroll down to answer. You also can't exit. I have to close down the app to get rid of the screen, which means there's currently no way to use the app on a mobile device. That's pretty horrible testing.

3 ★ I like it for playing, but there are a few things that could be updated. 1) I have all notifications set off, but constantly get emails about setting my attendance or something. 2) I can't click links in chatter to join other teams. 3) I can deal with this one, but the app is a little slow to switch into different selections.

5 ★ I've only just set up our pickleball group in the free version and there is a learning curve, but so far I'm loving it! Tracking attendees, monitoring drop-outs and communicating with the group is a breeze. Waitlist is a feature that is absolutely priceless. Thank you for a great app!

4 ★ I have been using it for a couple of years now for scheduling pickleball leagues. It works well for the notifications and confirmations. It's more oriented to team sports however, for us, a team is just the group of players that are eligible to play each session, but there is no opponent. And all our 'games' are recorded as 0-0 ties against a 'to be determined' opponent. I use a different app, more pickleball focused, to record the scores and keep the rankings.

3 ★ I've used this for over a year now and it has some major pain points. - Notifications don't take you to the chat and don't disappear when you read them. Scrolling in chat is clunky, plus when you open the keyboard it doesn't raise the latest message to be above the input box. At least the developers seem to be putting effort into improving it.

1 ★ GARBAGE!!!!! So f'n glitchy. The format of the app is great but it only works 10% of the time without any issues. I normally have to mess around with wifi, close and reopen or even uninstall the app, or end up using the website, and even then it's slower than GD dial-up. SORT. IT. OUT. I PAY for this cr-app but will be requesting a refund if it's not improved.
