Beltone HearMax 1.37.1 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Allows a calling application which manages it own calls through the self-managed ConnectionService APIs.

Allows the app to answer an incoming phone call.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows an application to record audio.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

2 ★ Something is a miss here. The app stays connected on my samsung phone however, it looses connectivity on a regular basis. Sometimes the airplane on/off works but most of the time it does not. I end up rebooting my phone. Once I do that, connectivity returns for a bit, then I have got to do it again and again. Yes, I did update the app at Beltone.

1 ★ When this app works, it's great. The WHEN is the problem. It takes forever for the Bluetooth to pair up and then usually only one pairs. I did send a message to the app help addy but received no response. My last pair of hearing aids ( Seimans) worked flawlessly and cost much less. I had high hopes going in based on others' experience but I am very unhappy.

2 ★ Mar 2020: App keeps loosing connection. Deleted and tried to setup again. Found hearing aids but never connected with them. Deleted app again. Stuck using basic fuctions on hearing aids. Sept. 2021: New phone (Samsung). Worked great for about a month. Now it doesn't work with audio streaming. Kept loosing connection. Reinstalled app several times. Audio streaming still not working anymore.

2 ★ Not very happy after choosing Beltone over three other hearing aids. Great service from local representative and pleased with Amaze but, many problems with the Hear Max app. Went through all the initial procedures and went home with a working ear. Shortly after, I opened the app and it showed a red status and poor instructions for correcting. To make a 6 trip return to dealer and still not fixed a shorter story, I was told that the app is questionable with my LG-G6 phone. The aids were sold to me without any report to that effect. I have been back to Verizon, my phone company and they are confused and say that if the app works for a time and quits that is compatible. I will also add that I called your service phone 3 times without a return call. Poor business in my estimation.

3 ★ This app is fine when streaming audio works. But it drops from my phone on a regular basis. I've been told it's an Android thing, but Android is open source. Time to fix this. Also, can we have more than bass, mids and treble sliders? How about specific frequencies like an equalizer? Maybe more in line with what's on an audiogram. These issues aside, I do like the app. Sounds like I'm griping but it does me some good since I can save custom programs. Just want a bit more reliability and control.

1 ★ The app works some times. Loses connection regularly. Doesn't work at all for phone calls. I have talked to my cellular provider support and Beltone support for hours. Both say it should work, but neither has any idea how to fix it. I would not recommend purchasing Beltone hearing aids for the price since you can't use Bluetooth for calls.

2 ★ After months of excellent performance, the app is unreliable. Getting the app to connect to the hearing aid is random. With Bluetooth on, nothing. Reboot phone, nothing. Reboot hearing aid, nothing. Then after a few days, it magically works ... for an hour or two, then nothing. The result is that everyone appears to be speaking softly and mumbling because I have no control over volume. My husband has the same issue with his. We both use Android phones (Moto Z3 Play).

2 ★ App would not stay connected. I re-paired the aids and rebooted the phone. That did not help. Went to the support site and read that I should turn Bluetooth off then back on to clear it. That seems to have worked. So far the aids stayed connected when changing programs. ....later edit. If you connect any other Bluetooth device, you must cycle Bluetooth off and on and reboot the app to keep connection. Edit one month later....very disappointed in this app. It just will not stay connected.

1 ★ I just recently changed to a Samsung S21 5G phone. Some features seem more stable but the connection to the hearing aids is terrible. It constantly looses connection to one or the other side and the only way I have found to get them to both re-connect is to reboot the phone. This is a huge annoyance. Please check if there are issues with connecting with this phone and correct the issue asap.

1 ★ It worked pretty well for about a month. I enjoyed being able to change to 'Restaurant' environment and take calls through my hearing aids. Then my Galaxy S20, Android 12,downloaded a software update. Now, one or the other of the aids will lose its connection - often in the middle of a call or while streaming. The app WILL NOT reliably keep its bluetooth connection! Unpairing/re-pairing several times every day to restore the connection is not worth the aggravation. Fuggedaboutit!

4 ★ Update: finally the app/hearing aids are staying connected almost all the time. The only time they disconnect is when my phone switches from wifi to 5g connection. Then a quick toggle to airplane mode and back and they reconnect. The direct streaming is working well. Congatulations Beltone. Keep fine tuning the minor connection issues and you have a great product. These are the best sound quality hearing aids i have had in 15 years.

1 ★ This app never works right. If it doesn't pick up hearing aides & you go to "pair new aides" it says it has found your aides and proceeds to connect them... except it never connects. You can't shut it down. It goes on for hours draining the battery. It automatically goes into "demo" mode & you cannot get it out. Sometimes you can get it working if you uninstall it but you have to do it numerous times & sometimes it doesn't work. Please fix it because many people depend on it. .

3 ★ This hearing aid app is not made for the Samsung phone or possibly any Android phone. It constantly loses connection on one side or the other. If you want to listen to music or a podcast you can only hear it in one ear. For that matter any bluetooth connection is the same way. in order to get the hearing back in both ears you have to turn off your phone and restart it. Then you'll probably lose the connection if you stop your music say to answer the phone it only comes through in one ear.

2 ★ I wish I could get the full app to work. When I watch the demo, there are multiple options for programs, but when I actually use the app, only the normal and restaurant programs work. I tried installing on my old HTC phone to see if it would work on that rather than my Samsung Galaxy S7, but no dice. I am very disappointed that I can't get it to work.

1 ★ Loses connection with my Beltone Amaze hearing aids around every two days. This will be the 3rd time I've uninstalled and reinstalled this app. Please get this bug fixed. With the price of these hearing aids, a quality app should accompany them. Edit: This app is completely worthless. I can no longer connect which means I can no longer adjust the volume or change any of the settings. Please fix this app to accommodate android phones. I will gladly edit my review.
