Description
The Golek Puppet is a very popular form of folk theater.
People often associate the word "wayang" with "shadow",
because it is seen from the wayang kulit show that uses a screen, where shadows appear.
In West Java, besides wayang kulit, the most popular one is the puppet show. With regard to wayang golek, there are two types of puppet show, papak (cepak) and wayang golek purwa in the Sunda region.
With the exception of wayang wong, from all the puppets played by a dalang as the leader of the show who simultaneously sang suluk, voiced antawacana, arranged the gamelan to arrange songs and so on.
