App permissions

Republic Wireless 2.0.7.2142 APK requires following permissions:

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows an application to collect battery statistics

Allows an application to broadcast sticky intents.

Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.

Allows an application to modify the current configuration, such as locale.

Allows applications to change network connectivity state.

Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.

Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

This constant was deprecated in API level 9. This functionality will be removed in the future; please do not use. Allow an application to make its activities persistent.

Allows an application to see the number being dialed during an outgoing call with the option to redirect the call to a different number or abort the call altogether.

Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

3 ★ You get what you pay for. Very good customer service (via email). Still better than Verizon.

2 ★ Very happy with Republic Wireless so far, been a loyal customer since 2014, & even turned a number of friends and family to RW for service. I am still on one of RW's original plans which are quite competitive and appealing when traveling. We recently broke 2 phones from RW at the same time and it took find another phone to canibalize for parts to bring one of the phones back to life (the other I had to switch to a another carrier). Please work to make some newer phones available for 1.0 plans!

5 ★ Excellent savings with special smartphones that use wifi whenever available, charging me only for time connected to cell towers. (But i have a plan no longer offered, so if i ever upgrade from my Moto G 3rd edition android smartphone, i will have to select a different Republic plan). Was homebound most of 2018 while kicking cancer via chemo, so needed almost no cell usage & had some $13/mo bills, a true blessing!

2 ★ covered map shows complete coverage at my location, however no service available whatsoever. even in areas that the phone shows it has a cellular service the phone does not receive texts or calls. very frustrating. no response from company.

1 ★ My service on my Moto5 phone is reaching unavailable numbers and I don't receive call. It say can not configure calls on this phone.. That why I giving a low rate..you have not help me to get the problem solve.. My Republic Wireless name is under Gloria Herbst.

4 ★ can't beat the price. and even though i live in a spotty area (island life) the wifi connection is perfect and transitioning from wifi to cell is seamless.

1 ★ Awful service, no customer service, slow down speed, not recommended!! Really not saving anything.

5 ★ I've had Republic for years and am very satisfied with both their service and pricing.

1 ★ Calls work 30% of the time. When they do, calls echo 90% of the time. WiFi Calling is a joke. Horrible phone service.

1 ★ Forgot password, and lost access to my email two years ago. Can't log in to get help... Now I cannot get into my Republic Wireless account ever again This sucks Time to switch

5 ★ Please know that Republic Wireless has provided me with a service that meets my need, on a monthly basis, with out any problems ..plus they do not try to sell me on up grades, etc which I appreciate, I have never had any issues, and I Thank You!!!! Sally Ashton
