***This plugin doesn't require root access***
This app uses the Device Administrator permission.
SecureTask requires special access, in order to grant access, you need to perform three commands from your pc with ADB executable. You can find detailed instructions in the app, button "How to grant permissions".

SecureTask 4.2.1 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.
Allows an application to read or write the secure system settings.
Allows an application to read or write the system settings.
Allows an application to retrieve state dump information from system services.
Allows an application to read the low-level system log files.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows applications to write the sync settings.
Allows applications to read the sync settings.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to collect component usage statistics
Declaring the permission implies intention to use the API and the user of the device can grant permission through the Settings application.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to modify the current configuration, such as locale.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.
Allows applications to perform I/O operations over NFC.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
Allows an application to request deleting packages.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

1 ★ The une use I have for this, checking for failed unlocks, doesn't really work. It triggers after unlock, never before. Useless.
2 ★ There is a BIG difference between device admin, which the description states is needed along with a few simple adb commands & can be easily granted, & device owner, which is also required, not made clear enough in the description, & requires a factory reset (no thanks). I wasted far too much time getting this set up & figuring out how to use it with MacroDroid (can't find instructions ANYWHERE), only to find I can't do what I was trying to do. This requirement needs to be made MUCH clearer.
5 ★ Useful for Macrodroid
1 ★ Can't set this app as device owner and use Google One for backups. Android 14. All I'm looking for is factory reset after x failed unlock attempts (and to have backups enabled). Can't get support from Google without signing up for a premium Google One storage account.
