Weather Radar by WeatherBug 5.102.0-27 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.

2 ★ I have used this app for years, and it was great. However, in 2023, the widget display, the Now, and the hourly contradict each other on the current weather and temps every day. Can't find a way to update it... I was thinking that may fix it. I will delete the app and reload to see if that resolves the issue. If not, I will be looking for a new weather app, unfortunately. Also, the new map is okay, but I liked the old one better. It's not a deal breaker, though.

2 ★ Disappointed in new version! I've used WB daily for years (since "Elite" was a nominal $1, or so, one-time purchase!). 'Guess old subscriptions have vaporized -- and now it's overpriced (you can get weather anywhere)! The above-mentioned, plus obtrusive ads and poorly performing maps -- make this latest app very disappointing, compared to earlier versions. If you like WB, use the website -- not this app

3 ★ (January 2024 – Downgraded from 4 to 3 stars) Longtime user on multiple devices. Sluggish and locks up despite clearing cache. Maps still helpful. Lacks ready access at top of page to barometric pressure, allergy reports, etc. The Windy app is quicker, better for wind conditions, often more accurate, with options for multiple forecast models. WeatherBug seems to be resource intensive, possibly due to ads, and I've had to remove it from my older devices. I might delete it from my current phone.

1 ★ I have a couple of issues with the redesigned app. First, the weather radar seems to lag. What's actually going on by about 10 minutes. I'm also wondering why you removed the ability to put multiple layers on the radar map. Without the ability to use the street, satellite, and traffic layer simultaneously, this app is useless. As a truck driver I would use this for traffic and weather but I can no longer do that.

1 ★ I'm a truck driver and I used to rely alot on weather bug, now my location won't update, I am currently in VA and it's showing that I'm in TX. When I try to load the radar everything just flashes like there's a glitch or something. And before you ask, yes my location is turned on, and yes the permission for location is set to always. I'm about to delete the app all together and find a new one.

3 ★ Last week I would have given a 5. I've used weatherbug for years and loved it, but what happened to the maps today? The radar is fuzzy around the edges and has a big video thing across the entire bottom. Please go back to the old maps where the user had control of what worked for their situation. Also, the feedback button on settings did not bring me to a place to leave feedback or I would have done it directly.

1 ★ Well, they broke it again! Time to move on to another app... Was: I had been using this app for years, that is, until the weather maps were changed. I would turn down the opacity of the radar images so I could see the underlying map, but every time I reopened the app, it would reset. I sent feedback to the company, and they actually responded and listened! The opacity setting is now retained after reopening the app. The general look and usefulness of the maps are much better, again.

2 ★ The updated radar map is now hard to see. The white background with the thin blue stare borders makes it difficult to see where exactly you ate, especially when you're in a storm close to state borders. The +- zoom feature is gone so you have to use the screen all the time which sucks at times. And highway and route numbers are small and hard to see. But when you zoom to get a closer look, the highway and route numbers shrink to maintain the same size as you zoom! The new map sucks!

3 ★ The map is awful now & that's the most important feature for me. Over half the time when I open the radar nothing shows up on it. I have to close and reopen the app. Sometimes it still doesn't work. You can't see future and past radar together. Also, the radar rarely loads on the "Now" weather screen. The zoom function is preset now, so you have modify with your fingers on the screen. Now I'm using the Weather Channel app more often than this one.

4 ★ New Mapbox layers are too limited. They went from one extreme to another. Previous Google maps kept adding layers until it was nearly non functional. Cloud cover, wind and temperature layers were important to me and are sorely missed. Update. Operator error on my part. Found I could scroll layers to reveal other layers I was missing. New maps seems a lot quicker and more responsive. Time will tell. Spring will tell the story when trying to track incoming fast moving hail storms.

3 ★ Not too crazy about them switching from Google Maps to Mapbox. The dropped pins are too large and the animation overlay takes up a large portion of the map if you are trying to look at a large section of the map. UPDATE: Just did the latest update and Google Maps are back!! YAYYY...Thank You!!!! So I see mapbox is back. Why do you guys keep doing this? Please switch it back to Google Maps

2 ★ PLEASE FIX! I LOVE THIS APP AND WANT TO CONTINUE USING IT! BUT, IT NO LONGER WORKS! I have loved Weatherbug for years. But now, it's completely unusable. I understand that you need to have ads, but now, there's so many that the app is lagging or won't load altogether. I can't even scroll down to see the whole weather! The map takes 3-5 minutes to load. The hourly, forget it. If it does load, it's not right. Even the current weather is off by 10 degrees. And, I don't get paid versions of apps.

3 ★ The new map makes me want to find a different app! IT IS TERRIBLE. I don't need huge pins for where I am or where my weather station is. It's too distracting. I also don't like the video bar at the bottom. Bring back the old map! I'm seeing so many same reviews regarding this. Your users are not happy. Stick to what we like! And why are all your replies requesting we email you?! Just have your "team" read these reviews! 🙄

1 ★ The new radar maps suck. You took away the + and - zoom option to replace with city and region. Which was pointless. Now you need to use both hands to zoom in or out. The home screen map shows no weather data at all. Quit trying to change things "for the better" when absolutely nothing was wrong in the first place. From the comments I've read everyone is upset with this update! You were the best weather app. I told everyone about it. Now I tell them to find something else.

3 ★ Whenever I get a weather alert, it shows everywhere this alert covers. And after showing every town, city, county, and burb, then they tell what the weather alert is for. I assume when I get the alert, it's for my area, so I don't need that info first. I would like to know what the alert is on top. If I plan on traveling, then I can scroll through the areas affected.
