Description
This FREE all-inclusive outdoor guide was created in a collaborative effort between Florida State Parks and ParksByNature Network®, and the next generation of the app is better than ever.
Powered by Pocket Ranger® technology, the app gives outdoor enthusiasts an environmentally friendly way to enjoy the parks. It contains everything you need to plan a trip to the state parks, navigate them once you get there, and share your experiences afterward.
Newly added features:
•New user interface (UI) with a sleek, more photo-centric home screen design.
•Photo galleries on each park description page.
•A new Explore feature to optimize search capabilities, allowing a 4-in-1 search by location, activities, category, and site name, making it easier to find the perfect recreational destination.
The app still has rich GPS features, such as:
•Advanced GPS Maps, complete with an accuracy and distance indicator, which allow you to access trail data, record tracks from hikes, runs, or bike rides, and view elapsed time and distance traveled.
•Easy-to-cache GPS Terrain Map tiles, which ensure that navigation remains possible in the event of lost mobile reception.
•Photo waypoint feature allowing you to snap a photo and mark and record the coordinates of plant life, animal species or landscape views. Post or share these remarkable finds with family and friends with the click of a button.
•Friend Finder feature that tracks friends and family around the parks.
•Built-in compass.
•Potentially life-saving Alert feature that supplies GPS coordinates to designated contacts in case of an emergency.

•The enhanced pro features on the app are designed to function in areas with little to no mobile reception; however, some of the features require mobile data reception in order to function properly.
•Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to send SMS messages.

Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Allows an application to broadcast sticky intents.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an app to access approximate location.

3 ★ Would be really good if it operated at normal speed. Slow enough for me to give up and go the Google route. If it loads faster than will give it more stars, really good app besides the speed though.
1 ★ It's not working at all. I just got downloaded it. It crashes immediately when I try to open it. Deleted it and redownloaded it. Still won't open. I demand a refund! Oh wait, I didn't pay anything. It should still work though..
5 ★ This app works great but there are some annoying bugs plus it is sometimes wonky on my Note 3. But it is great for finding and reserving campsites, which is only what I use it for.
2 ★ So the idea is great, but it's difficult to use when it freezes up and crashes so much. Hopefully someday they'll fix it.
1 ★ This is a horrible app you can't make reservations on here it doesn't even show you prices and it doesn't have any pictures so that you can see stuff please update this app or just completely take it down cuz it's a waste of space
1 ★ This app doesn't work, after the initial install and updates to content that took a very long time, the app doesn't display any content at all. I arrive at what I assume is the home screen with a menu. When selecting a menu option, the app hangs for awhile and eventually crashes. I've reinstalled twice with no luck.

2 ★ The mobile app has some problems in that it crashes ad when selecting a park and then GPS location, it cannot even detect your location or provide direction even though you have allowed set permissions to be enabled for the app. This is on Marshmallow, core Android!
