5 ★ This app perfectly suits my needs as a quick, simple and intuitive messaging app with privacy at its core. LockDown serves me well in communicating sensitive information in a way that doesn't leave a digital tattoo for me to worry about aging poorly. If I want my shared thoughts gone, I count on LockDown embrace privacy the way I need it. LockDown is perfectly serviceable in it's current state 11-23-2020. I'm eagerly awaiting a dark mode so I don't have to blind myself at night.
5 ★ Destin, I have tried to enter a UK number even trying the 011 44 prefix if you were dialing out of the US to see if that works. I'm not bothered if you are currently only testing in the US as I will happily wait knowing that your just in the testing phase. Keep going!!!!
1 ★ Failure to create an account. Setup started smooth but verification code got a little confusing because there is an appended extra code. That was not clear. Finally got to create a pin section but that action failed. Over and over. I backed out and tried to start over but now the user id I chose isn't available and I can't recover it because it never finished creation.
5 ★ Found out about the app via NDQ podcast. I love it so far. As an IT network and security professional, I am always on the lookout for new apps that are doing this well. Love how easy it is to setup and get using. Can you add features like in-line responses for group messages? Would like to direct reply to others. Would also love to be able to change content permissions once a file is sent. Also would be good to add other users to a group chat after creating it.
5 ★ All good now that UK numbers are working. Thanks for the quick fix on that. Am liking the features and look forward to putting this through its paces with others.
5 ★ Right now I can't create an account as it's saying my phone number is invalid. Interface does look promising though! EDIT: Fixed within 48 hours. Works flawlessly!
3 ★ After update I was able to register an account, but no one else I know is using it, so I haven't been able to try it out yet to see how it improves upon other secure messaging systems. First thing I noticed is that it lacks a Dark Mode setting.
5 ★ Was initially unable to create an international account, but that was quickly resolved. So far it is easy and intuitive to use.
5 ★ I feel safe and secure using lockdown! Very easy to use, and adding friends to the app was super simple.
1 ★ Can't sign up with UK number! Selected 'United Kingdom' but the number entry box still expects a US number! Please fix!
