Download the latest Canada Topo Maps application, version 7.6.0, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Maps & Navigation app is developed by ATLOGIS Geoinformatics GmbH & Co. KG and is easy to download and install.

Description
Choose between 30+ map layers (topos, aerials, sea charts, ...) to plan the perfect trip and
turn your Andoid Phone/Tablet into an outdoor GPS for offline trips into the backcountry.
*** Note: Please use Canada Base Map, Toporama or OpenStreetMap layer if you need most recent topo maps ! ***
Add easily maps from other sources (GeoPDF, GeoTiff, Online Map Services like WMS, ...)

Configure a basemap layer as an overlay and utilize a transparency fader to seamlessly compare maps with each other.
Add maps from other sources:

• Add web mapping services as WMS or WMTS/Tileserver
• Import OpenStreetMaps in Vectorformat, eg complete USA for just some GBs

There is no perfect map. Toggle between the different map layers or use the compare maps feature to find the most interesting route. Especially the old CanMatrix Topos contain many small pathes or other features that are missing on modern maps.

4 ★ The app features and usability are great. Lots of map layers to choose from. Some features don't work properly, they are not core functions so I still rate 4☆
3 ★ This is the second time I have paid this fee. Bought it about 10 years. The new version has nothing I'd use. That said I love this app. Use for kayaking BC coast & inland lakes, hiking and Search and Rescue. Even though the maps are old, they have great detail. Importing and exporting way points is simple. I would give 5 stars but annoyed that have to pay 1 time fee Again.
3 ★ Nice app overall, free version includes many land maps for roads and trails. UI is somewhat slow though, especially with multiple layers, and no transparency aside from "Compare maps." Want an app that lets me load free Canadian DFO maps but unfortunately this ain't it. Can't connect to a WMS server. Requests a Pro upgrade for some features but when you try that it returns a "null token" error. Cleared cache, updated, same boat. Argh.
5 ★ Initial impression excellent! Lots of features in free version — I don't know what the cranks have going on in their heads. 😜😁 Yes, long list of maps to choose from and quality varies considerably. Be grateful and disable the ones you won't use at all. Some minor features mislabeled on some maps — not the app developer's fault. OpenStreet, OpenTopo and the ESRI selections are my faves for now.
5 ★ I was looking for something to measure point to point distance since Google Maps doesn't, and I can't get Foreflight on an Android device. Got exactly what I needed within 30 seconds of opening it. The 1:50000 scale is the same that I use for air SAR as well, so it should be very useful. I will definitely consider buying pro if I start using it more.
5 ★ Some unfair reviews. First, free version allows search by address. Second, you are cautioned that not all maps are current and to verify using other map layers. In my undergrad (geography) I would've been over the moon with this app. No having to trek around paper Geological Survey maps (I still have a few that I pull out because Google Maps sometimes lacks key details). A GPS read out that is (vs mid 90's) military grade and isn't the size & weight of a 4 L bag of milk! Etc. Check it out.
5 ★ I have been using this app for years, thousands of miles and many stored waypoints and tracks. A few months ago the app quit working on my tablet. I contacted the developer and they suggested that I backup my data (through the app) and to reload the program. As it turned out, my tablet was the problem. I purchased a new tablet and the developers sent me a new code. The app and the support is great.
5 ★ Worked with the free version for a year and wanted the ability to use maps offline. So I upgraded to the pro version for years now. Really worth it. Works great with all my devices including upgrades to my phone and tablets. It's not the developers fault but I wish there were more recent updates to some of the maps. I like the Canmatrix and Canada Toporama map the most.
5 ★ I do a lot of walking out in the woods and this app is a must if going anywhere out of the treaded paths. The pro version is certainly worth the cheddar, especially if you consider the price of a Garmin. There are many different kinds of maps, overlays and some are worldwide. This app makes it easier to take into consideration the various waterways if you're going on a canoe trip. The topographic maps are rich and there are a few just to compare them. Download these maps offline and you're set
2 ★ Worked well for perhaps a year, then suddenly, would not load any of the offline maps although they were still in the default directory. Re-installed the program, and that did not seem to help. The user interface and menu options are woefully lacking in intuition and available options. Although its simplicity was the original attraction for me, the functionality turned out to be a disappointment.
5 ★ I live in Northern Canada and it's good to have the topo maps for remote areas. This is an easy to use and highly functional tool. I like the ability to easily add waypoints with comments and measure distances along features. I downloaded a large area for 70 km track and it only took up 65 MB on my phone. Really great app!
2 ★ Unfortunately I have to uninstall this app since I got my new phone (Google pixel 4a 5g with android 11). I've been unable to open any files from any app, but most noticeably outlook, because for some reason they are trying to open with this app by default and I can't change it. In settings, there's nothing that says this app should open my files. Kind of concerning tbh. As an example, I try to open a Google word document, Canada maps tries to open it, but fails because it's a word doc
2 ★ I don't see trails on this app. The contours are great but for someone like me who is mostly on trails, I would like to see the route options. Or am I missing something? Also, sometimes it just greys out and the map becomes invisible. And all the layer options are confusing. Simple please! I doubt I will renew my subscription.
5 ★ Great having all these maps and even arial pictures and sat images of your area. Love it when I am bushwacking. No issues on either of my phones except the old Samsung neo s5. It took alot of memory but still worked flawlessly .Works great on my Samsung a70 . I have the pro version and love it . I like the measuring feature between point a to b . Tracking your route is nice too. Thanks for the great app
4 ★ Basically as accurate as Strava. And it's map based! Unlike Strava. This app is also more accurate over muddy swamps and creeks than Gaia GPS. One thing I really think could improve your app would be upgrading the zoom features to like that of Google maps. Mostly I got this application because of the free topo maps that you can select from.
